That holodeck was way to capable. If I'm not mistaken there was at least one instance when someone managed to build a transmitter on the holodeck and used that to send information from the Voyager to an enemy faction. If a holographic representation of a subspace transmitter can send an actual signal it makes me wonder if it would be possible to blow the ship up with a holographic bomb... Then there was the episode where someone was playing with classic villains from literature in some adventure setting. When they were summoned to the bridge the simulation wasn't paused, as it usually would be, but kept running. What was worse was that for some reason one of the villains, I think it was Moriarty but that's just a guess, actually saw them call the portal and exit. This was enough for these supposedly super intelligent villains to figure out that not only were they simulations, but that there was a starship outside the holodeck, and that they could actually use portable hologenerators, once developed for the ships doctor,to allow them to leave the holodeck. Being programed to be villains they were of course planing on taking over the entire ship. Those holodecks are ridiculously dangerous.

I think it's Rhoda, as Catalina's hair look different.

I'm getting a more than typically feminine vibe from Tedd. And in panel one, does (s)he look like (s)he has more pronounced hips?

I've come off Cymbalta before and didn't get zapped. I hope to be that lucky this time as well.

It can't be as bad as jumping straight into full dose Cymbalta. My left had still hurts.

*sigh* Well, we have your backs as best we can. Vent to us if it gets really bad. And as always, take care of yourself.

I think I agree that the result would depend on whether Sarah meant to see the car segment as it was scanned, or to pull an intact car through. If she sticks with what's scanned, the cut-off point of the car would be a cross-section, like a split dog model in anatomy class. If she tries to pull the whole car with the intent of pulling an intact car through, the missing section would be based on her imagination and expectations, but it would not be based on reality, because the spell doesn't have any data from beyond the cut-off.

True, Assistant Director Liefield, I believe, is the immediate supervisor for both Arthur and Edward. If Edward did get involved in such an investigation, without the direction or consent of AD Liefield, Arthur would be justified in claiming Edward was interfering in his jurisdiction. For some reason, law enforcement officers can behave like highly territorial animals when it comes to their jurisdiction.

    Things that make you sad.

It does you credit that you care so much, and tried to do what's right. Thank you, even if you didn't succeed.

Today at work, I saw a lone Brown Pelican walking on the driveway between buildings. I drove by it in a golf cart less than three feet away, and it barely moved. I stepped out of the cart and approached within one foot and the bird did not react until I crouched down to take a closer look. The Pelican had a fishing hook embedded in its neck and a fishing line wrapped around one wing. I called animal control, and they gave me the number for wildlife rescue. But by the time I got back to where I first saw the bird, it was gone. While I doubt it could fly well, it was probably able to get back over the fence. Since I couldn't find the bird, I didn't make the call. This bird was weak. I would guess it was starving. Every once in a while you need a tangible reminder about the dangers of carelessness. This sea bird was dying in one of the worst ways imaginable because some somebody with a rod and reel couldn't be bothered to dispose of their tackle properly.

Nope, she already checked on him and subsequently left to figure out Magic's plan for Tedd. http://www.egscomics.com/index.php?id=2295
