Mama Kistune may hate Mr. Raven, but she wants the best for Nanase, and Mr. Raven is one of the best teachers around (especially history, as he could technically be a first hand source for some of it). Mr. Raven is also highly protective of his students, as seen when Abraham attacked the school, so Mama Kitsune wouldn't have to worry as much if something bad happens at the school. -

Come visit my Monster Hunter Kickstarter! Help me reach my goal of 250.000 magical energy units. Regular monsters, then stretch goals of vampires at 300.000, werewolves at 350.000, diamond-created curse beasts at 400.000, demons at 450.000 and dragons at 500.000! If we reach 600.000 we may add the stretch goals of sociopathic lab monsters with Messianic complexes and Evil Overlords. -

Yes, YouTube. I understand that you make money by ad revenue. Yes, I understand that the new Planet of the Apes movie is coming up. Yes, I understand that 15-second videos there's no point to being able to skip them since they're so short. No, I don't want to watch the exact same unskippable commercial for LITERALLY EVERY VIDEO I WATCH! -

I am sorry to hear of your troubles. I wish I could offer you more than I already have. The only thing I can think of is maybe trying a Netflix subscription or some streaming service along with a set of headphones? That way you can watch something else on either comp or tablet while Mrs. Prof lets steam out of her ears with Law and Order. (This one time I was sitting with my wife and we were both only paying halfway attention to the TV when the announcer informed us that next up was Law and Order: SUV. After we both stopped howling with laughter, I said to her that I bet the rest of the crew on that TV station wouldn't let the poor announcer forget that for the rest of the month. My wife responded that she doubted they would let the hapless woman forget that for the rest of her life. Afterwards we started discussing what Law and Order: SUV might be about and decided that it featured cops that refused to work cases unless they somehow involved SUVs and that the entire trial at the end of the episode was entirely focused on which SUVs were better, the ones the cops used or the ones the criminals had committed their crimes in.) -

Personally, at this poiont I'm mainly hoping that Raven isn't a cheater. I mean, I can see the scenario - wife gets pregnant, but he can't have children, so she cheated but denies doing so, he decides he has leave to cheat a bit himself, you know? Definitely doesn't strike me as being a WISE thing to do, though. Also, given how it's been established that he hates being lied to (blowing up in the principal's office), I don't see him wanting to live that kind of lie. Not to mention the whole betrayal and breaking of vows thing (marriage, in this case). I'd be much more agreeable with the situation if Pandora was talking about some long-ago children, or Susan's dad or something like that. Maybe a one-night stand type of situation with Susan's mom? Ooh! She could get pregnant with twins, not be sure who the father is/not have Raven's contact information to chew him out for getting her pregnant when he said he couldn't, her parents make her give up one for adoption, she meets her husband, he eventually cheats... Hmm... Anyway, I really don't see Raven as someone who is willing to be a cheating cheater who cheats, whether cheating on a his wife or with a friend's wife. :/ Sure, he's familiar with betrayals of trust, but I'd rather it be long-ago wives who (potentially) cheated on him to have children, not his being an adulterer. -

By some estimates, the most recent common ancestor of essentially-all Europeans may have been as recent as 1000 years ago. Adrian is estimated to be what, at least 600 years old? He's not allowed to be part of a military organization, but can't exactly explain why or by whose authority - so he probably would have had to move around a lot over that period to avoid being drafted. Him being ancestral to 10% of Europeans is plausible, assuming he's actually roughly as fertile as the average human male. (Also noteworthy: it's estimated that if you - being a randomly selected person - list the names of all four of your great-grandfathers, there's a better than 50% chance that you are mistaken about at least one of them. It's not as if sexual cheating is rare...) -

Well duh, you're from the family that thought a throne mounted on a massive sphinx on wheels pulled by captured princes and kings was a reasonable way of getting around. Of course you'd like SUVs. -

You have gone far above and beyond what I would ask of anyone, much less a good, close friend (if I may call you that publicly). I need nothing more than sanity, which at last check I don't think Amazon carries. I thank you for what you have given, and for whatever support you may deem necessary to offer in the future. They missed a perfect chance for massive product placement by not going with the SUV name, you know. -

The Kitsunes seem to be a bit too pureblooded Japanese for Adrian to be in their ancestry. For example, that they speak Japanese fluently at home implies that they haven't been living in America for too many generations--Nanase's great-grandparents may have come over as young adults after WWII. I doubt that the majority of their ancestors were in America before the passing of the various Oriental Exclusion Acts early in the 20th century. -

1 pointWhile I have no desire to be with guys as a guy, I have imagined being with a guy if I could transform into a sexy girl. What does that make me? I am being serious here, if there is a term for it I would like to know.

First, there's a difference between not wanting to be male, and not being willing to be male for specific reasons or events. Second, specifically on the issue of reproduction, Ellen and Elliot are as close to identical twins as it's possible to be while still being different sexes (something that happens naturally approximately once in every 246 sets of fraternal twins). If Ellen were MV1'd you'd probably get Elliot. I suspect that at some point in the future Ellen and Nanase will take a long vacation together to somewhere they won't need ID, and Ellen will come back pregnant, then as soon as they get back Nanase will get artificially inseminated with Elliot as the sperm donor. (I am SO glad I won't be living with them when they are both pregnant.) At this point I think Elliot is gender-neutral. That is, he's perfectly comfortable with and enjoys being male, and never has a strong desire to be female (having a strong desire for some benefit that incidentally, in his case, comes with a female form - such as flying - is different, as is a desire to stay with his established daily rituals)... and then when he IS female, is perfectly comfortable with and enjoys being female and never has a strong desire to be male. Or he could be agender, which isn't quite the same thing. It would lack the "and enjoys" part - in place of that is a "doesn't give a sh** about" part. My theory is that most people who are gender-neutral or agender simply assume they are cisgender - they never have a noticeable internal gender conflict, so it takes some outside event or circumstance to cause them to engage in introspection regarding their gender identity... and Elliot is known to be resistant to introspection. (For that matter, most people who are cisgender probably just assume so, without engaging in the introspection that would confirm it.) (And this extends to people who are mildly trans or fluid. I'm mildly fluid - if it weren't for EGS and Rain I probably would never have realized it. I've come to suspect that my wife is mildly trans - and she agrees that my reasons for suspecting that are at least plausible.)
