Your coffee maker is a self-aware AI. It passed the Keurig test...

You should consider driving a Cnadillac instead of a Fnord. It has a much better AC.

I'd be wondering why it keeps getting infected, and/or why there's an ongoing infection not being cleared up by the antibiotics. My instinct would be to try a different class of antibiotic (assuming I couldn't get a culture, which it doesn't sound like there's any place to get one from), but then, I'd probably be reaching for Baytril, which the species in question can't take, so.... ;-) Huh. I always thought pigeon-toed meant someone whose feet turned outward, so their toes were further apart than their heels. I have a very high arch myself, and have been wearing orthotic inserts in my shoes since sixth grade. If the glued-on support helps, maybe once you're healed he can get you something like that to keep your feet happy. Can you get it on yourself? If not, how likely are you to need to get up during the night or before Mrs. Prof gets up and can boot you? And once again, don't worry about bringing anyone down, this is exactly what this thread is for. The politics thread, on the other hand, is where I would have to take a reply rant about how messed up our "schedule" system is for controlled substances.... Like Hack, I've fallen behind, although it's more of a regular thing with me, but I do like to hear how you're doing when I do get to catch up. :-)

You should not let this keep you from blogging. If nothing else, you may give the rest of us an interesting read. I know I would like to read what you write about it.

The same here. I have been kind of knocked out all day long and not watched the forums. I apologise for that; I am currently trying to catch up.

    Loudmouth's Journey Inside

The Feliway for Loudmouth and the stuff from Jackson Galaxy arrived about ten minutes ago. Weird experience: I have my hearing aids on and was hearing the postman scanning the packages outside. However, I thought it was Mrs. Prof's cell phone or computer making some kind of odd noise—something she couldn't hear. We both figured out what it was when the postman knocked quite loudly on the door. Still no Loudmouth bed pee today (yay!). My fingers are crossed that he won't do it again, and that the above mentioned stuff will help both him (via the Feliway) and Baker (both, actually, via the JG stuff) to get closer to a real introduction. I might see if I can get Mrs. Prof to take a shot of Loudmouth's entire room tonight. Not sure if that'll work, given the limitations of her phone's camera. Loudmouth's going to have a lot more room to deal with when we do a "base camp switch," since the second bedroom (out of three) is much bigger.

Still here; I just have nothing meaningful to add. The regular updates are good for both you and us - we all know you're okay, and you know we're all here for you.

Here's an interesting thought, what if Pandora's whole "Egg and Hawk" routine nearly 3 years ago was an attempt to get Edward talking to Adrian again? Even if Edward didn't know that she is Adrian's mother, if Adrian was the one that taught Edward about Immortals, she might have hoped he'd go to Adrian for help, get talking, and maybe reconcile things, but so far it hasn't worked out like that and with Pandora's desire to not predict the outcomes, she would have been just recklessly doing things without realizing (until now) that she's only been making things worse. Though I'm thinking that probably by the end of this arc, Edward will be talking to Adrian again, whether he forgives Adrian or it ends the same way that Justin and Melissa ended is to be determined.

Start a blog on each. Who knows, someone might decide to either sponsor you or hire you outright for one or the other. And in the meantime, you'd be writing about something you enjoy, for others who enjoy the same thing.

IndyCar stuff: I tweeted to the guy on NBCSN's race broadcasts who does the "how it works" segments after last week's race, asking him if he'd do a segment about how one particular item in the cockpit worked. He actually tweeted back, with a link to a video he did last year. Don't know how I missed that one, but I was pleasantly surprised that a network expert commentator responded! I would be ∞ times happier if I could spend my twilight years driving around, chasing and attending IndyCar races and DCI drum corps shows.

There is a class of writers that do "historical reviews" and what not that use "<SUBJECT> from <SOME YEAR> to Present" as a template. This can cause confusion when the book in question isn't, shall we say, current, so you find a book about the French Army, for example, list as "1816 to Present" ends somewhere right before the Franco-Prussian war. In this case, however I don't look gift horses in the mouth that much It's more or less correct "Present" more or less maps to 2010

That actually makes sense and doesn't reflect as badly on Edward as some of the other reasons.

Yep. That's going a be a fun day. I should have added this when I first commented on it, but I don't think Edward would do that now that Pandora's telling Tedd. If Tedd went to his dad later and asked why he never told him all this and Edward attempts to dodge the subject, it would only make things worse between them. If Edward really does care about his son, he should own up now that Tedd knows Okay, another conjecture: the reason that Tedd's father doesn't like it when Tedd spends time as a girl is that Tedd reminds him of Noriko in that form.

Once again, Dan surprises us by having characters talk to each other and share important information. You'd think we'd be expecting this more by now!

I wonder if Phix would know anything about that ...
