    Things That Make You Happy

I just finished the writing of the Edge of Imperial Space Player's Handbook. Doing my first real proof read and will be giving it to my editor "soon". Because she wants it in dead tree form, I've got to get my laser printer first, but that's on track for right after I move, assuming no hidden costs in moving. Now I've got to really crack down on doing the fiddly bits that go in the referee's guide.

    Loudmouth's Journey Inside

We've decided to wean Baker from the Elavil, since we're not seeing aggression issues (just jealousy) after the night out. Things are going much better than we expected, so tonight, no 5mg dose of Elavil. Baker will get doses Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday, if I can help on Saturday (the day after my procedure). After that, no more Elavil.

2:53 p.m. CDT 20170814. I got more sleep between my last update and 2pm than I did overnight. I hope my sleep pattern isn't shifting. If it is, it can't be the hydrocodone's fault, since my 10pm dose is the largest of all and I'm sleeping less after it. My sore flaked off of my right ear. What was under it still hurts. The 2pm dose of my hydrocodone is kicking in. Strange—it's never really done that before. I may have to lie down again. At least it's keeping my anxiety down about Friday, despite the occasional PVC.

    Loudmouth's Journey Inside

As far as I can tell, there is no bed pee yet. I woke up several times overnight, and each time I saw that Loudmouth was sleeping next to Mrs. Prof while Baker was in his typical box next to the sofa with me (it's not a marital situation—she just keeps that room too damned cold and windy, and cats have fur). No bed pee elsewhere, but traces of use of a litter box. It seems as though the experiment was successful at first look. Mrs. Prof is still going to put the waterproof cover over the master bed before she leaves to take care of residual business from the feral cat roundup (24 cats this time!), just for safety's sake.
