Maybe Susan has a new spell that makes people oblivious to certain things, like her and Sarah walking around naked, or an Illusion making them look like they're wearing an outfit. The security guard, if she is the same one that had the crystal ball, might be resisting the effects a bit and is thinking "there's something odd about their appearance."

This probably says a lot about the rules not allowing her to mark younger kids, the people she's gone to in the mall are at least over 18 so she's going to be finding the majority of them to be driven more by hormones. If she was in an area with a lot of 8-12 year olds, she'd have more luck finding people that would want to transform into things and be likely to do so at any time. As it is, I think Nanase and Susan are the only examples of Immortals giving under 18 kids magic. Heck I wouldn't be surprised if Pandora waited till Adrian was 18 before she started teaching him how to use magic.

Nanase was there too, she knows about it. DBG wouldn't likely assign anyone to be Diane's bodyguard or trainer, for one, they'd pretty much say the same thing Edward said about Diane's chances of being attacked again compared with the chances of anyone being attacked, the most they could do is have someone investigate the vampire situation itself, and two, Edward is the head of paranormal diplomacy, not really a position that would allow him to allocate resources, and not a position that would allow him to handle Diane himself. What Edward did to Abraham is certainly an indication of his power, but it also got him in a lot of trouble with the organization so I don't expect him to do anything that could get him in more hot water. The best, and probably inevitable thing to do anyway given how the comics been going, is have the Main 8 will take care of Diane.

Nope. And on that thought, Ashley and Elliot are both dorks, so it would have been the will of Magic to get them together, it wasn't just a coincidence that Elliot just had to morph at the time that Ashley went to talk to him about Susan.

Heck, Elliot hasn't used his catform in what, 10 months? Granted transforming to it was painful but now that he's apparently come to terms with the female forms, maybe the cat form was fixed (no pun intended) to not be painful?

Edward likely couldn't detect her magic and that's what gave away the fact she's Immortal, Adrian had also mentioned that it would be a bad idea for an immortal to pose as someone known to be a powerful wizard in front of someone who could detect magic potency. Supposedly everyone has some magic energy and could potentially awaken and use magic, so a distinct lack of detectable magic energy would suggest something else.

What Edward is basically saying here is, yes the vampires are a problem, not much he can do about it beyond telling the right people. Yes Diane is at risk while there's vampires around, but then so is everyone else, see first statement. I'm really hoping that Monday's page will have Edward giving Nanase some advice on how she can go about helping Diane, Edward has to have been taking note on how well Nanase has developed as not only a magic user, but as someone who would do whatever it takes to defend people. Even though things didn't go well with him and Noriko, but knowing her family line, he probably sees that Nanase has the same potential.

That said, I'd argue that the "boobs of steel" trope is specific to physical strength and not how badass they are, or else Susan would have the biggest of the group.

Wouldn't it be funny if, despite not being twins, the fact that Diane and Susan are a fair bit alike, if Diane did get a spell at some point that it's also a summon item spell and just happens to be able to summon the items from Susan's chest? Accidentally summoning the log? That said, at the current point in the story, Diane hasn't awakened or even been marked, Tara's glance at Diane said she has the potential, but the spider vampire stated that she wasn't anywhere near the capability. Edward likely would feel there's no reason to check her magic unless he believed she might have awakened.

I could be wrong as with a lot of theories, but I want to be pretty certain that the diamond is strictly an Elliot/Ellen/Magus plot device, it doesn't seem right to reuse it as a Susan/Diane plot device when cheating father has been a known aspect of Susan's life for the majority of her time in the comic.

I would suspect Elliot would end up in the living room or basement on a couch, although Diane would probably quickly figure out that Ellen and Elliot share a bedroom, and we know Elliot doesn't want that being spread around, not sure if Ellen cares if anyone knew or if she'd respect Elliot not wanting it known. Though let's be honest, how long does everyone think it will be till Diane learns of Ellen's true origins? Who will spill the beans on this one?

Justin was outed in freshman year apparently so Diane would have been treating him as "defective" for a couple years, but like I said, knowing that Nanase is gay might have given Diane a reason to rethink her behaviour, also as was address in the recent Q&A, Diane is looking for something new. So it does strengthen the idea that Diane's behaviour in the early comic and "previous years", was all just an "act tough, be popular, play hard to get" phase and now she's distancing herself from that image, and looking for actual friends and relationships. I just thought of something to add to this: Susan's Log: Susan kept a log during Grace's birthday party where she wrote about how it felt to be male, what she felt about her dad whether or not to forgive him or fully blame him for his actions and how she might never completely sort it out. I wonder if this log will make an appearance again, maybe meeting Diane and learning that her father had been with more women while married to her mom might remind her of what she wrote. Maybe Diane discovers the log though I'm not sure what she would think about the non-father related stuff in it.

I'm actually more inclined to say he probably meant Ellen initially since it was her that first noticed the similarity, then Grace agreed stating that she's "gotten good at analyzing physical structures". I'm sure she could have made up some excuse to crash at Rhea's apartment, though she was Nanase and Ellen's ride...would Ellen have suggested Diane stay at her place? Would Diane's safety override Ellen's desire to make sure Diane doesn't do anything funny with Elliot? Probably more likely Diane would go home or back to Rhea's apartment.

Yeah, also Ellen is Ellen here, not a copy spelled Nanase Angel twin. So most likely they had Tedd or Grace help them design the forms. Tedd: "You do know these wings won't let you fly right?"
