1958 - Sputnik 1 falls to Earth after three successful months of beeping.
1999 - Former pro wrestler Jesse Ventura is sworn is as governor of Minnesota. Americans are assured this is the silliest that U.S. politics will ever get.

I'm beginning to think that Sam didn't attend the card tournament because he doesn't want to be with Sarah while Grace is around for fear that Grace might let it slip that Sam is trans, especially if he saw that Sarah was a friend of Grace's. His running away here could have been because Grace was with another friend and was equally paranoid about her possibly telling Ellen about him. It makes me think that there hasn't been any real contact between Sam and Grace after that initial incident, while Sam has obviously been at the comic shop since then, it seems likely he'd have avoided talking to Grace so that the subject of him being trans would never come up again. Heck if he saw Tedd talking with Grace after he had suggested  Tedd might want to use "Tess" as a name, that might have really spooked Sam into thinking his cover might get blown.
 
Edit: And it just occurred to me after posting that, trans males would still have to deal with menstrual cycles, at least until they start hormone therapy, right? His absence could have been related to that and him running from Grace then might have been because he had just bought feminine hygiene products and he doesn't want anyone to see.

It's hard to notice as Nanase is quite curvy even normally. It will be much easier to notice on Sarah. I meant "would".

I have one regular Pichu and one Pichu wearing a witch's hat.  I was really hoping to get a Pichu with a Santa hat, to match all the similarly-clad Pikachus, but the darn game just refuses to give me one.
I have, BTW, renamed one of my cyndaquils "Justin".

I also had similar instances of loot drops not being in my favour, one year for the Brewfest event I was making my attempt to get the Brewfest Ram mount from the tavern in Blackrock Depths. Since it was a daily quest during the event, some guildies and I would run through with multiple Alts. It got to the point where I ran out of Alts so I had to bow out of the group and let someone who hadn't done the event yet get a turn. Of course that's when the game decides the mount was going to drop.......
 
I did eventually get the mount the next year, but still you can't help but feel betrayed by the game.

It's assumed that Pandora, being as powerful as she was, had herself convinced that what she was doing was fine and dandy. Any other Immortal might have more difficulty doing so, Pandora said that most Immortals need a special set of circumstances and permission. So while Pandora might not have been the only one able to get away with doing what she did, it'd be a very short list of who else could, maybe Voltaire is one, I dunno, if so, maybe he's past his reset date as well BUT, I would expect the other Immortals would know that when he contacted them to discuss making changes to Immortal Law.

Haven't you heard of the new underground hospitals with wandering health specialists? I visited one last week and encountered an occupational therapist, a nurse, two interns and an opthalmologist. And all I wanted was some painkillers. It was an embarrassment of riches, practically.

Kinda like how Elliot used to be friends with Tony, though I doubt Elliot ever thought the same way as Tony, but Elliot might have tried to convince Tony to stop bullying Tedd, and then whatever happened that Elliot didn't want to talk about happened, and that was the last straw.

I wonder what happened to Nanase, either she shrunk as well, or she got bigger or otherwise transformed into something that could carry Sarah up to the switch or lever or whatever.
If she shrunk, part of me expects her swimsuit to shrink with her, would further frustrate Sarah.

Once again working around 0300 Eastern when I look up and the waning crescent moon, partially obstructed by clouds, again looks too much like the disembodied grin of the Cheshire Cat.

We do know the full name of the Physics teacher at MSHS, though it's never actually mentioned in the comic, it was a cameo appearance of Darren Bleuel, cofounder of Keenspot.
 
 
Oh yeah, we also know Arthur J. Arthur, though what the J. stands for, we may never know.

Not nearly as much as Susan's "KITTY!!!!" though.
