Ah. This actually strengthens an old idea of mine: that it was the absence of Elliot in his world that helped to create Lord Tedd. Also, I had once before speculated on the possibility of targeting Elliot to get at Tedd. I am rather sorry to see my hypothesis confirmed in this way. :/

Their first album, S//plice//lice//cience, sold well in Japan, but only released to moderate acclaim in the US and EU, despite difficulties with getting the guitar guy to record a studio album or play live concerts. Their second album, sans guitar absolutely tanked, and now they  primarily play birthday parties and weddings with a new guitarist.
Leather, Lace, and Lipstick is a metal group of men in drag, fronted by a leather-clad toaster. Don't ask how the toaster hits the high notes, but they do. 

While their first album, Herbicide, left more listeners confused than entertained they had a small but dedicated following until a car crash cost their drummer the use of her right arm.
 
Laundry Day on the Moon is a meta-band who parody the works of other parody artists. All their concerts are preformed in the nude.

Mr Casso Wells is in fact a stage persona for Oscar Walls, PhD.  Professor of Music Theory and Performing Arts at Moperville Community College.  Other critics have commented on the "Unique and Original Sounds" of this premier recording.  It is drawn almost entirely from the folk songs of a community of Peruvian tribesmen who weave baskets underwater.  Professor Walls arranged the soundtrack for the award winning short documentary "Peruvian Tribesmen Who Weave Baskets Underwater".  Anyone who has seen that film (there are at least five of us) will recognize the similarity almost immediately.  I don't know why the Professor neglected to cite his sources.

Part 2: Family Tree

This one kind of got away from me. I had been planning to only do a few, but, well...
Suffice it to say, this is when I realized I should be doing these in batches. I'm currently about halfway through Identity, and will add more as I complete each storyline, until I get to the current one, at which point I'll probably work my way backwards through the archive.

So... I discovered EGS a few weeks ago, and since then, I have probably read through the archives about 3 and a half times (at least 2 complete read-throughs, but, thanks to all the links in the commentaries, I've gone back and read several storylines numerous times).
Anyway, one of the things I noticed on my readthrough(s) is that the characters make faces that are, well, exaggerated and over the top, and, frankly, hilarious.
So I decided to go back and catalog what I consider to be some of the best faces, starting with End of an Era, the first storyline after the timeskip. I didn't want to start all the way at the beginning, and I knew there was one face in that story that I had to capture. (You probably know the one).
Anyway, I've been using a Chrome extension called Awesome Screenshot, and each pic can be found on my imgur page.

No one's saying it has to, it's just that if you go to Fic archive sites, the fics that don't use the existing cast tend to be at the bottom of the list going by views, comments, favorites, etc. Fans seek out fan-work that stars their favorite character, or fleshes out their favorite extra, more often than not. having an OC 'steal' that spotlight typicaly ends badly.

my money is on the possibility that susan IS diane. the multiverse has been a part of the series for quite some time now, and it would explain the absence of diane's family, on this world atleast...

However since Magic has a will it could simply choose that evil people can't use magic. See Atop The Fourth Wall for an example of that. There if someone with magic lets it go to their head and becomes evil they lose the power to do magic. As a result I don;t buy that excuse.
