Welcome, everyone, to the new 910CMX Community Forums. I'm still working on getting them running, so things may change. If you're a 910 Comic creator and need your forum recreated, let me know and I'll get on it right away. I'll do my best to make this new place as fun as the last one!

InfiniteRemnant reacted to ProfessorTomoe in Terrible movie thread
Zardoz only makes sense after about the fourth viewing. Unfortunately, you've got to survive the first three viewings to get to that point.

InfiniteRemnant got a reaction from Maplestrip in More Speculation.
On an unrelated note, Diane seems to be into magic, and Elliot, but not the kind of magic Elliot tends to get, and seems unsure about trying to compete with Ashley now that they've met...
Magus' plot-line seems to be drawing to a close soon (though soon in this comic's world could easily equate to two or three years our time) if the escalation on the aberration front is anything to go by, and the more we see of him the more Magus reminds me of a jaded version of Elliot...
What are the chances of Diane falling for a post-restoration Magus?

Again, until we see a canon example otherwise...
Besides, at this point it feels more like your grasping at straws than anything else. I don't see a point in discussing this further.

Let's compromise and agree that EVERYONE is related to Susan and Diane somehow. They could be descendants of Raven's father's family, the blonde mistress AKA their real mother could be Noriko's cousin or something and one of Noah's parents could have been related to Susan and Diane's father, which would make them related to Noah too.
There. Now everyone's happy. [/sarcasm]

InfiniteRemnant reacted to The Old Hack in Terrible movie thread
Okay, this is a completely different gripe nothing to do with the locals -- given that we already know this is a unique resource not duplicated anywhere else in the known universe, why in the world use such a moronic kill-the-goose-that-lays-golden-eggs method instead of investing, say, a few years of research into finding a safer procedure that won't ruin the planet?
Oh wait, I know why. Because if you did, the contrived and strawmanned 'ooooh we are so mean to the poor innocent locals' plot wouldn't work.

Picard would actually agree with you on that, and makes sugestions to that effect about 45 min into the movie, but gets shot down the moment he points that out to the admiral. and given it's a pre-existing admiral who wasn't a moron when he showed up last time, is another example of out of character because plot.

Nah, Bay's work might be monumentally stupid, but it atleast tends to be mostly origional stupid. thinly veiled carbon copies of other movies made with no understanding of what made the other one work or not work is more J.J. Abrams style.
