Welcome, everyone, to the new 910CMX Community Forums. I'm still working on getting them running, so things may change. If you're a 910 Comic creator and need your forum recreated, let me know and I'll get on it right away. I'll do my best to make this new place as fun as the last one!

Howitzer reacted to mlooney in NP: Monday, January 9, 2017
I beg to differ. Best mall chase scene ever done was a Ford Focus vs a Corvette.
This ends when the focus does an beach assault with the Royal Marines. Awesome.

More experimentation is required.

I've always been a big fan of unnecessary censorship.

I'm sure we'll get to the dates in the main comic once we get there. They're still something like six days away in comic time.
As for the other question, why wouldn't she have a belly button? I've seen no evidence that immortals reproduce any differently than humans do. A better question is,"Why does Grace have one?"

To be fair, Greg doesn't seem overly concerned about the arm. I'd characterize his mood as Mild Annoyance.

It's a carryover from when software was distributed on magnetic media, like floppy discs and cassette tapes.
You can only copy magnetic media so many times before it wears out, so you've got to be careful with the master copies. When the software was done, they would make a "golden master" of it, which is what they just called the source. From the golden master, they'd then make a dozen or so copies called "silver masters". The silver masters would then be used as the source for the actual consumer copies of the software.
Copy the silver masters hundreds of times until they wear out, and when they do, go back to the golden master to make more silver masters, so you can make more consumer copies.
"Going Gold" was the term for finishing the product and being at the stage where you're ready to make the golden master. With optical media and digital distribution, there's no need for a golden master anymore, but the phrase "Going Gold" stuck as meaning "done with the product".

When this description won last month, I was imagining them clothed on a couch.

While not a series, I thought Ready Player One was pretty good, and probably right up Dan's alley.

It's a reference to Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. It was a response to the previous post where you said you were pushing the limits of probability.
Drop everything right now, head to your local library, and read that book, and you'll get the joke. As well as having read a really good book.

I'd like to point out that the word "parsec" shouldn't be in Star Wars at all.
The distance of a parsec is calculated based on Earth's orbit around the Sun. It's useful because you can calculate how far a celestial body is from Earth by calculating what it's angle in the sky is, then waiting half a year, and making the same calculation again. Because the Earth is on the other side of the Sun when you make the second calculation, the angle will be slightly different, and you can use basic trigonometry to calculate the distance. (A parsec is about 3.26 light years.)
As Earth isn't in Star Wars (it takes place in "a galaxy far, far away"), there's absolutely no reason to have a unit of distance that's based on the size of Earth's orbit.

I'd go farther then that and just say that Star Wars is fantasy. It's just happens to be fantasy with a sci-fi paint job. Scratch the paint off, and you've totally got elves, orcs, swords, and wizards.

The telegram was obviously delivered by Thing, who scampered away quickly once the job was done.

Obviously a very cold day in Moperville.
Justin is suffering the worst case of shrinkage ever.

Even that one is relevant. The main use for Sarah's power is finding information, ie answering questions.

The problem is that Data plans and Lore plans don't communicate with each other well. For maximum compatiblity, Susan would probably just go with the generic Soong-type plan.
