Do EGS aberrations have the disadvantage of not being to enter a building they aren't invited into? Unlikely. "Traditions". Apparently it's old enough noone knows. They would definitely be dying if they assumed vampires needs to be invited and aberrations wouldn't actually have this limitation. It was never mentioned they are allergic to garlic either, but based on the general tone of EGS with aberrations not really being vampires, I would expect that most vampire traits either don't apply at all or only apply on SOME of them.
  2. https://www.egscomics.com/comic/party-157 Identity confirmed. Also, she continues being suspicious and Dan talks suspiciously long about her design ... ... also, Grace is suspicious, but can still pretend she padded her bra. Also, introducing herself as someone's girlfriend to someone who likes gossips ... I know, we talked about it not being that big gossip, but still.
  3. NP Tuesday May 19, 2020

Real Justin, yes, but this barber just looks as him. I meant that even after this party, those information would be limited to main eight + Ashley + Diane (well, them and whoever is watching the surveillance in Tedd's house). I suspect this order was not followed.
  4. NP Tuesday May 19, 2020

And here I was thinking I was the only one saying "Get On With It"... You used to be. However, that was before Dan got THIS obvious with the No Progress thing ... I mean, the story is supposed to be about making fun of the Fable game. No progress on this. It's likely going to explore the plot of the game. No progress on this. There is something weird going on with Grace missing. No progress on this. And I would be willing to excuse if Susan would be trying some cool transformations (not necessary of herself), but this is hair and beard. Also, after appearance of female Justin, the idea that he might be delaying on purpose appeared and might be still valid ...
  5. Story Monday, May 18, 2020

It might be a case of if they're entering through the door, it's likely they've been invited in, which doesn't set off whatever security Edward's got in place. If someone were to use magic to gain entry without the door being opened for them, then it triggers security. It might be possible that someone in a hard to detect form could sneak by Grace right now while she's talking to the Gossip/Pizza girl, but otherwise trying to slide under the door while it's closed wouldn't work. Yes, that could also work.
  6. Story Monday, May 18, 2020

Bad idea. She's wizard and would be able to learn a lot. That might attract the notice of DGB, even if magic isn't the big secret any more. And Edward. I got answer from Dan that the defenses around Tedd's house are not made to prevent people from entering, so Diane was ok and even this girl would be ok ... if she tries to enter as human. Maybe she will be stopped if she tries to enter as smoke.
  7. NP Tuesday May 19, 2020

Sooo, Ellen, Elliot, Sarah, brand new Female Justin and the barber's own hairstyle, Diane. And neither "the dragon" nor "aunt" makes sense without info the barber really shouldn't have. May we indulge in some plot resolution? It would be nice change if we get to the plot.
  8. Story Monday, May 18, 2020

Well, yes, but I have no idea who else was talking like this. I looked at "smoke" and no, although it MIGHT be related to "their voice seems to shift in pitch" ...
  9. NP Saturday, May 16, 2020

... yeah ... It's cute and I think that's EXACTLY why Susan wouldn't like them. It's so "Tiffany".
  10. NP Thursday, May 14, 2020

I'd love to; can't unsee it, brain bleach is not a real thing. It totally is, but most versions are very imprecise so most people don't risk it. Or at least shouldn't. Although there is research for more precise stuff.
  11. Story, Friday May 15, 2020

Why would they need forks? While that might be the gossip, it's not enough to account for the "Holy Carp Forks" from pizza delivery girl. Definitely not. However, it's only gossip I can see in the situation, so ... alternative is it's not gossip why she shouted that. All joking aside I was part of a service that blessed some items for the summer. One of the things that a member of the congregation brought in to be blessed was her husband's fishing gear. Ft. Morrison just rolled his eyes and splashed it with the holy water like it was normal. If fishing gear was rolling-eyes-worthy, Ft. Morrison isn't so experienced. I would expect weirder things to be brought. Was he young?
  12. Story, Friday May 15, 2020

Good. So Justin would be opening door needlessly. Good catch. I needed a moment to notice her even when knowing what page to look at, but it really looks like her. Also good point. I was wondering what could be reason for this reaction and this is good theory. All are relatives, though. Padded bras are a thing you know. While Grace is large she not freak out over level large. I'm going with either the pizza girl is Smoke or she sees Jeremy behind Grace like Ashley did when she first got there. Grace is not that small by default either. Even if she went from zero to this, the reaction would be different. Technically, THAT would be the gossip. I mean, that she was at her boyfriend house. Not too shocking, but I think it would be quite standard gossip material for high school. The thing is though, Jeremy ran and hid from Ashley, and hasn't been seen since. He didn't come out when Susan and Diane came over, and we know how Jeremy feels about Susan so I found that odd (but that's another matter altogether), would he chose now to come out? Maybe he JUST realized Susan is here? ... ok, doesn't seem THAT likely.

I've never seen episode 2 or 3 of Star Wars. For that matter haven't seen 7,8 and 9. Might do those some time. You saw episode 1 and didn't saw 2 or 3? You should definitely fix that. ... although I must admit I also didn't saw 8 and 9.
  14. NP Thursday, May 14, 2020

I was assuming it would be a TF gun based form as the time frame I was thinking about would be early in Tedd's career of messing with the TF gun, not after he started making watches with forms on them. Hmmmm ... now, note that FV5 actually REMOVES most of body hair. Dan commented that the male and female transformations both tend to default to a wide range reduction in that regard. This may or may not include beard. Maybe it wouldn't be as easy as expected for some reason?
  15. NP Thursday, May 14, 2020

The most non-matching aspect in my opinion is color. While beard can technically have different color from hair, I don't think it can work the way Susans beards look. Well, maybe the Fable Twader. I really don't understand why Spock's goatee is missing. It would be obvious option. Is that waiting for NEXT comic? Maybe. This does raise the question, why hasn't Tedd made a masc form that comes with a beard yet? For that matter, why didn't he make a bearded form back when he was worried about people thinking he was a girl? In the high school1 I graduated from there were 3 or 4 guys that had full beards, so I know it's possible for teenage males to have beards. It needs some level of maturity to grow beard ... Tedd might be too young for proper beard at that point. Now, beard form from TF gun? THAT could work. Maybe it WAS due to being gender fluid ... Nice try but it would need more editing. Seconding that. It was season 2 episode 10, so why episode 2?
  16. Story Monday, May 11, 2020

I was talking about the watch that Tedd gave Susan afterwards with other forms. That was the SAME watch. Tedd EXPLICITLY ASKED what OTHER forms Susan wants on watch that they FIRST use for Nanase creating fairies based on them and THEN give Susan. And because it's watches and not proper wand (and because Tedd doesn't understand her powers at that point), they work just like TF gun (almost), so they have SINGLE clone spell which can do base and five variants. The variants are presumably programmed related to the base form, but are still CLONE spell in effect. Now, the base (Susan) can be used for "recovery" when she's already transformed, the variants are for fun. Seriously, those two comics and their commentary directly state it.
  17. Story Wednesday May 13, 2020

I'm not quite sure how she would figure that out. Granted she's been shown to make a deduction from limited amounts of data, but I'm not sure how she could figure that out. She doesn't know about the gender swap party just yet. She doesn't, however Susan said it was special circumstances and she just saw gender swap is possible. Guessing those circumstances were gender swap wouldn't be THAT big conclusion leap. Guessing it was specifically Justin would be harder (as opposed to any of actual girls), but I wouldn't call it completely impossible ...
  18. Story Monday, May 11, 2020

I kinda suspect that Mama Kitsune doesn't talk about her high school years much, she probably didn't elaborate on why she didn't like Adrian as a teacher. Which is why I think she was not exactly showing her photos, although on the other hand we can't be sure about that. She might be showing photos from her wedding, for example (she would PROBABLY not be 18 on those, but can still be hot). I mean, we didn't see it, but Tedd could have felt that a modified hair spell would work better than a full on clone form variant just to change hair styles. The watches were designed to allow NANASE use those forms. And she would need full clone forms. Also, Tedd even explicitly said that it could be useful for Susan if she would be transformed.
  19. Story Friday, May 8, 2020

If I'm recalling correctly, it is a calculation in Sarah's head based on a comment by Pandora. It may have been Tedd. No calculation from Sarah. Ok ... she said "a few centuries" and yes, that would mean AT LEAST 200. However, we have no estimate from other direction - she can still be thousand years old. We don't even know how old she actually was when she STARTED to claiming she's 299 - it was almost certainly at least 299, but could be more. In fact, we can't be sure she KNOWS how old she is. She might've lost count. While Adrian probably knows when he was born quite exactly, as historian, he may not feel the need to remind Pandora. That said, I consider more likely her age will be between 600 and 1000. I would still be interested in any comment proving that, or helping specifying her age otherwise.
  20. Story Friday, May 8, 2020

Did she? Where? I must've missed that, the most precise statement I know about is when she said that she's saying she's 299 for centuries.
  21. Story Wednesday May 13, 2020

Agree. Like, sure, maturity, but after spending time on preparation he could at least finish the plan and open the doors.
  22. Story Friday, May 8, 2020

We didn't actually saw Tedd in his MOST dysfunctional "so withdrawn Nanase though he is mute" phase. But yes, he's definitely good for her. ... how they were in public, Rhoda's changed. She's more assertive. Not sure. Like, yes, she is getting more assertive, but until the outburst at Diane which was NOT in public she was still more shy. It remains to be seen how assertive she will be in public now. I made similar mistakes with my older kids, it was not a good experience for them. From my perspective, having been at both ends of this, the primary outcome is alienation. Well, yes, the alienation will definitely be one of the results, but Nanase's mom might consider it worth it. As I said: we don't know her goals so hard to say ... ... also, we don't know how good would she be if she tried to be less strict. Personally, I don't think her method of raising kid (-s? Is Akiko getting same treatment) is good, but it's likely SHE thinks it's necessary. It reduces the chance of unplanned children. Any lesbian that wants to have a child should be able to find a willing male participant, and she can be very selective. There can be legal barriers; here for instance, there is no legal way to be the father without incurring the financial responsibilities; there must be loopholes for sperm donors, but I don't know how those are defined (I know this because I know a coworker who is in that situation). Should be, but it's entirely possible that the additional hurdle will discourage some. And Nanase herself DID sounded discouraged. And Nanase's mom could know her good enough to predict that. I meant that adopted kid would not have the "royal" magic genes. Of the two of them, Ellen is more impulsive, and Ellen's impulsiveness might egg Nanase on, or it might caution her to hold back. Yes, definitely. I think it's mostly the egg one. I also think that Nanase might be having more ideas but it's the encouragement from Ellen why they end up actually doing them. She's not aware of what Fox is thinking and yes they are actually competing when playing. However, feelings are different and are partially subconscious. Well, if she's actually asleep and not comatose - that is, if she still feels her normal body - there MIGHT be something more she can do. Also, there seem to be lot of similarities between Fox and Susan's fairy, and Susan seems to be able to do lot of middle ground between direct control and fully autonomous. Now, not sure if this counts as middle ground or if it was autonomous mode, but remember how Susan was tickled through the fairy. We don't know for sure, but I'm assuming that it works similar with Fox ... and that tickling is not only feedback ... (Note that in any case, I was saying "more like masturbation" ... not exactly like it.) I think that Fox is neither distinct personality nor automaton (and even automaton would be step above Real Doll). I see two possibilities: either her personality is based on copy of Nanase in moment of casting the spell, to be discarded every time she's unsummoned, or she IS Nanase in a way because the link is bidirectional. Both options sounds like pretty deep, although the first one would be extremely creepy for reasons completely unrelated to sexy times. Also, both options would be complemented with some modifications to make her work well as decoy, instead of, for example, arguing with Nanase who's the real one. ... the Archie incident might not lower her drive, but it would inhibit her impulsiveness to achieve what that drive demands. It might, however it seems that it mostly convinced her that males are not for her. I don't think so either, but because it is fiction, and narratively it would not make sense. Fertility zone and lifespan are related, from a gene's point of view. "Let's get cracking, make some copies of me." ... "Well, now you're useless. Time to turn you off." It doesn't make sense from the point of "just how random the evolution of Uryuom's reproduction was" either. I mean, it doesn't seem much random. Maybe something similar to "our" Will of magic designed it. And yes there is relation, however genes don't have point of view. It's just trial and error. Noone decides that person is useless when no longer fertile. Your livespan is determined by how useful your ancestor were in old age. As long as you are raising your children fitness - for example, by raising them - you are still useful. Also, men can be fertile much longer than women, and most genes for livespan are shared between men and women. Women have shorter fertility mostly because the chance to die for mother on childbirth was so big they didn't NEEDED to be fertile longer. In fact, stopping being fertile could raised women livespan (because she avoided another risky pregnancies) and allowed her to raise her older children instead ... And finally, frankly, we don't know what is Uryuom natural timespan OR fertility zone. We also don't know what is natural timespan for grandchild of fairy. Diane and Grace might surprise us by living longer than all others. Assuming, of course, that Tedd won't look at healing, because personally I think he should be able to prolong person's livespan with magic a LOT. Science is not something you can turn off. Sure, you can say "it's just comic, wizard did it" but then you must accept ANYTHING. Including the fact you just denied yourself a lot of fun with speculating how it COULD work. For start, I don't think they are truly incorporeal. They can move to another plane of reality, but they can be touched normally when on material plane. And yes, while Pandora was only one who was seen to have many forms, this may be result of later limitations ; I assume that humans evolved first and THEN fairies took human (mostly) form (which doesn't exactly answer when fairies appeared and from where ; THAT might be related to where magic came from). And I specifically linked the article about Identical ancestor point. Read it carefully. There's nothing hypothetical about it. Eventually the point is reached where all people in the past population fall into one of two categories: they are common ancestors, with at least one line of descent to everyone living today, or, they are the ancestors of no one alive today, because their lines of descent are completely extinct on every branch. The chance for it NOT happening, given enough generations, is zero. Now, at some point the elves entered into the population - and when they did, same rules started to work for them. Unless someone would very carefully work hard to maintaining two separate populations without any contact, the mixing eventually reach the point where everyone has some of those elves as ancestors - but, obviously, just having them as ancestors doesn't mean having all their genes, so only some people have magic talents. Probably not, however I think it's only because fairies are not INTERESTED in breeding with bunnies or toads. If they would be interested, I suspect it would be possible. Also note that Uryuoms seem to be able to breed with basically anything, why should fairies be less capable? Yup ; I'm saying that there are actually indirect hints that Adrian is one of the youngest elves, that most of the interbreeding happened earlier. Unfortunately, I fear he is indeed winging it. On the other hand, Dan seem to be open to make EGS making MORE sense. He explained hammers ; he might adapt the world to make sense with this. He didn't DIRECTLY say anything which would make it impossible yet ... We are not sure how old Adrian really is, but we are even less sure how old the point of identical ancestors is. It COULD match. It's unlikely, but we can't rule it out. If you are capable of following webcomics after you die, presumably you are capable of other things, things which may be more meaningful to you at that point. Maybe your personal list of people you need to haunt? Speak for yourself. I'm sure I can manage to read at least several webcomics and have time left to haunt some people. She was indeed, but she seems to really like the busty forms, too. She just asked DSL if she can reduce them. Friends and acquaintances who are into BDSM are adamant that if it's done ethically, the sub is very much in charge. The dynamic literally is the reverse of how it appears. Hmmmm ... that would then make even more sense for Catalina and Rhoda I guess ... Didn't read it, but it doesn't surprise me. ... different genomes in the base examples, and a propensity to not interbreed, though possible. Especially in case of brown bears and polar bears, distance. Apparently, they are not separate long enough to became different species, and maybe occasional interbreeding would be enough to keep it that way, but the distance ensures the interbreeding remains occasional. Of course, if you look really hard at the definition of species, you find out that bears are not real problem. Problem are ring species where the definition simply FAILS. Formally, because the ability to interbreed is not transitive.

Does she? I mean, it's entirely possible she's asking just because it being the possibility is weird to her.
  24. Story Monday, May 11, 2020

I'm wondering if Elliot's reaction has reminded Justin that he still has feelings for Elliot, does Susan need to give another pep talk? As if he needed reminder. Yes, this was what I was referring to. Well, yes, but that was out of continuity. In-continuity, Nanase didn't ever saw how hot her mom was when 18. Well, unless she saw some photo I guess ... It was one of the options she asked for, as well as a "black-blonde" option. If Tedd simply used a hair spell like Nanase's just for the two hair options and then a morphing spell for the body options, maybe Susan could mix and match a bit. No: the watches are explicitly clone form with the variants pre-mixed in computer. Of course, he CAN pre-mix them on computer again. He DOES have the backups - he didn't scanned Susan in that story, he used her existing backup. Don't know, but maybe it had something to do with what he was whispering to Ashley on the previous page? I would assume that he wasn't paying attention to Justin transforming (beyond maybe the super busty form), because he was busy whispering, and then transforming himself, then got to see Justin's final form. Neither whispering nor transforming makes him THAT busy. He might manage to do it WHILE paying attention and I would actually assume he saw SOME Justin before starting whispering, although from his reaction it seems that at least for the final form he wasn't paying attention. Hmmm, seems likely, although I wonder if it would be in-character for Ellen to self-censor herself like that even without Dan's stance. It probably would be for Elliot. That makes a much sense as any other non meta reason does. ... in hindsight I agree with this.
