  1. Comic for Wednesday, Mar 27 2024

Sam appears to be getting comfortable being Sam. And Susan and Sam are still together; that was not a sure thing.
  2. NP for Thursday, Mar 21

??? !!! ??? I'm not a huge fan, but it should probably be experienced a few time at least in your lifetime, just for the cultural connection.
  3. NP Tuesday March 19, 2024

I wonder if she's firing a bowling ball.
  4. Comic Wednesday March 20, 2024

I wonder how much each one remembers their shared dream. I'm guessing Jay remembers quite a bit.
  5. Sad news

I saw that. He died young.
  6. Sad news

Nichelle Nichols passed away. 89 years old, not a bad run. Not a whole lot of TOS cast left, William Shatner, George Takei, and Walter Koenig.
  7. Comic Wednesday March 13, 2024

Per the commentary, Arthur does not know more, Jay is assuming she is being left out of the loop. I wonder why she's so paranoid? My initial guess is that she tried to copy Arthur and he saw it as something he could not allow, and now they are at odds. OTOH, she is concerned about what Susan may know about her, so maybe there's more. I fixed the second thing for you: Unas pocas suposiciones erróneas y una simple consulta pueden convertirse en una inquisición (apuesto a que no esperabas eso)

Both versions were good-ish. They had their moments.
  9. Comic for Friday, Mar 8, 2024

I was trying to make sense of this, that is a reasonable hypothesis.
  10. Generic Table top gaming.

If nothing else, the map looks adaptable.
  11. Generic Table top gaming.

I don't have time at the moment to read this. Spill the frijoles, is there an actual space related point to this?
  12. NP for Saturday, Mar 2, 2024

    "Felines, . . . nothing more than felines, . . ."
  13. Comic for Monday, Mar 4, 2024

I think Jay not being able to process someone being that open says something about her life experiences.

That sounds really unhealthy. OTOH, we have no context for how magic metabolism works. In my tentative head canon, it is based in the brain, and eating what is good for your brain should be what fuels your magic ability. Which makes me wonder, "Does coffee have an affect on magic ability?"

They have better ability to sense the direction of a sound source than we do. Still, you have to wonder why cats never seem to hear anything you say to them. They do pick up the sound of a can opener really well. Yes. Yes, it will. Per track record.

Pretty sure she has not. I only recall Sarah and Tedd, and Susan and Diane briefly in the mall, and, of course, Adrian having an actual conversation with her. Only Tedd's seemed to be really in depth. She generally leaves more questions in her wake than she answers. Noteworthy, she barely interacted with her own son, Adrian, when she visited him, and left him with misgivings about what she was planning. Several folks spoke to her in the mall when she was posing as a survey taker; I'm not counting that. Nor the brief creepy non-interactive appearances. Of all the characters we've seen so far, Magus seems to have had the most interaction with her, albeit in her home realm. And, we can presume that Adrian has at least a couple of decades of interacting with her as 'Mom' and centuries of knowing her and perhaps seeing her briefly. We have not seen even a hint that she has much concern for Noah. Maybe that is the indication that she does not, conspicuous by its absence. I wonder if it is because he is not human, but she seemed favorably disposed toward Grace.
  17. Things That Are Just Annoying

Seems apropos. Exactly how large are you? Do we need to warn the air traffic control folks in your region?
  18. Comic for Monday, Feb 19, 2024

Uhm, fleeing at minimal threat might draw unwanted attention to yourself, Hope. Maybe just bear with the contact, say 'Nice to meet you.", then walk away.
  19. Comic for Friday, February 16

He has to see a spell in action to copy it. We haven't seen that he can detect innate magic. Unless he can now copy Luke's aura detection into a wand. Would be handy.
  20. Comic for Monday, Feb 12, 2024

This indeed makes sense. She seems to be a better person than the typical reboot we've seen for having retained memories, less callous.
  21. Comic for Monday, Feb 12, 2024

Comic for Monday, Feb 12, 2024 So not really an explanation why, but some confirmation that Hope is indeed shy about her new circumstances. Since Grace is an employee, and the store tends to need more staff during tournaments, this seems like a particularly bad plan. Note that in the commentary, Hope's room is 'magic'. I seems like it is isolated from the surrounding world, only connected by the magic entrance, so seemingly (more so than before) an extra-dimensional space, aka pocket dimension. That begs several questions; "Does Hope need to breathe air?", "If so, how does the room maintain oxygen level?", "Can her friends visit?" (I imagine so, if she clues them in and perhaps makes an exception to wards for them), "How does it maintain a livable temperature?" - You'd expect being extra-dimensional to be like a super efficient thermos bottle, and her body heat would build up. Possibly, it bleeds heat like crazy and should be freezing, although temperature in space can be weird, not a lot of heat content even though the temperature is extreme, so hanging in nothing might be similar. Or it could all be mitigated by whatever forced air flow is happening. There was a recent successful probe into the sun's outer corona. The temperature is millions of degrees, but it is near vacuum. The probe survived, collected data, and reported back.
  22. Comic Wednesday February 07, 2024

I like Galaxy Quest, which is more of a Star Trek spoof, better. Its humor is more on an adult level.
  23. Comic for Wednesday, Jan 17, 2024

Petroglyphs work well, but the data density is atrocious.
  24. Comic Wednesday February 07, 2024

Fair points, but my point was aimed at the notion that there are simpler ways of making contact than a card game that may not work out. Why isn't she visiting Adrian? Knocking on Tedd's door should be safe, unless she wants to avoid Edward. She could grab some books and visit Sarah as a 'fellow student'. <shrug> I'm sure it will make sense in the long run.
  25. Story Wednesday January 31, 2024

You may be right, it seems plausible, but this is the first indication we've had that they have any sort of filter for who they steal the royalty aura from. They should have noticed by now a lack of tyranny.
