      Welcome!   03/05/2016

Welcome, everyone, to the new 910CMX Community Forums. I'm still working on getting them running, so things may change.  If you're a 910 Comic creator and need your forum recreated, let me know and I'll get on it right away.  I'll do my best to make this new place as fun as the last one!

  1. What Are You Ingesting?

I had lasagna and chicken wings for lunch today. I work at a library right next to a mall. That mall has quite a few food joints, but I only use a few of them. Sometimes I eat a hamburger and fries (unhealthy but cheap), sometimes I have a pizza (not very healthy either, but soooo good) and sometimes I go to Subway (not particularly unhealthy but annoyingly expensive). Lately I've taken a liking to the place that serves real food and a great variety of vegetables, the one I had lunch at today. It's an all-you-can-eat buffet restaurant, so I never have to leave it hungry. I just hope that I'm getting enough exercise every day when I walk to work and back.

Yeah, I hope Grace's intersex idea will go nowhere. If nobody, including Dan, is comfortable with it, then I kinda have to wonder why did he write that in the script in the first place.
  3. STORY: Wednesday March 9, 2016

Well, the Cheerleadra transformation is a spell of its own. Elliot can look like any female he pictures in his head, but if he wanted to look like Cheerleadra without actually using the superhero spell, he wouldn't gain Cheerleadra's powers. I believe (and I might be wrong) that only Cheerleadra and her secret identities are protected against magical communications directed at Elliot unless the one trying to contact Elliot knows that they need to contact Cheerleadra. I agree with this theory. Elliot morphing into any girl he wants is all one spell and those forms might not block Nanase's fairy dolls even if she doesn't know that Elliot is transformed at the time. Remember, one of the biggest known superhero traits is keeping their identity a secret, so it makes perfect sense that a superhero spell would make sure that its user's identity is safe from things like fairy dolls. Of course, it's ALL pretty much pointless now, thanks to that jerk immortal. Not even Memory Charms can help Elliot keep his secret anymore. He's outed for good. I doubt it. Heidi's personality is very different from Elliot's, but I wouldn't exactly call her domineering. Yes, I agree. And even if Heidi somehow took over Elliot's mind, I don't think it would be very dangerous. The others would simply have to smash her skull in with a giant flail and she would immediately poof back to Elliot.

Who would Susan want to hammer after learning about Diane? Her mother? Or Nanase and Ellen for not telling her sooner?
  5. Opinion and Suggestion About Avatars

My avatar is a simple, silly smiley thing that I drew with Paint. I suppose it's kind of my symbol/logo/whatever you want to call it. I've drawn these smileys for years to amuse myself and to annoy others. I call it "the Bearded Smiley", even though it also has spiky hair, horns, ears with earrings, fangs and a tongue sticking out. I don't even remember when I first came up with it, but I've grown so fond of it that I started using it as an avatar.
  6. EGS Strip Slaying

Those are fantastic. Thanks for the laugh.
  7. STORY: Monday March 7, 2016

True, but there will be angst. So. Much. Angst.
  8. STORY: Wednesday March 9, 2016

Ah, I love it when smart characters miss the obvious answers. It's always amusing to see their reactions when someone else points it out for them.
  9. NP, Wednesday March 9, 2016

Hmm, I wonder if anyone in the Main Eight (including Grace herself) would be into that.
  10. STORY: Monday March 7, 2016

I agree, Susan will most likely take issue with those things, but IMO, she should have no right to complain about her twin sister's behavior. I think it's quite clear that they were raised differently and there could be any number of factors involved in how Diane turned out. Not to mention that Susan used to dislike all men only based on her father's behavior, which isn't quite as bad as manipulating men, but it's still something Susan probably isn't proud of. Plus, we still don't know exactly how and why Susan and Diane were separated at birth. Diane knows she's adopted, but it's relatively safe to assume that Susan has no idea that her mother may not be her biological mother. The first thing Susan and Diane should do after meeting and swapping notes is to get to really know each other and find more answers together. Judging each other and picking fights should be avoided. Sorry, I was being unclear. My point was that this is something that shouldn't be simply fixed by magic. What would the girls gain by dreaming of another life where they knew each other and grew up together? Someone else's memories from another universe, that's all. It might even do more harm than good.

Oh, so this storyline is finally coming to an end? That's fine with me, because I mostly considered it fanservice and- HEY WAIT A MINUTE WHERE'S TEDD?! Dan said that Tedd would show up in this storyline at some point, so now would be the time for him to come home and confirm once and for all if this storyline takes place before the card games or not. I mean, it seems quite obvious that all of this is happening before the card games, but maybe that's the point - it's too obvious. Maybe Tedd will come home with his pixie cut and casually mention having been over at Justin's with his Dad and the Magic Analysis Wand to see if he'd been Awakened. Wouldn't that be a nice twist? Also, did I seriously misunderstand something, or was Grace actually suggesting creating intersex forms?
  12. STORY: Monday March 7, 2016

I think it's more likely that Ellen will ignore her question and change the subject. They're trying to get to know Diane better, sure, but I doubt they're ready to share all their secrets with her just yet. Um, wasn't the Nest a long drive away from Moperville? Elliot and the griffins are definitely still in Moperville, so no, I'd say this is not the same wooded area where Nanase was with Grace and Ellen when they tried to locate the Nest. Sadly, I find it pretty unlikely that Diane and Susan will ever have the same kind of bond as Elliot and Ellen. Even if they eventually learn to like each other, all those years spent apart and not even knowing about each other's existence won't be magically swept away.

Yeah, I've always thought that EGS spellbooks are the worst. Their owners can't tell if their spells have updated without carefully reading through the entire book unless they've already used their updated or brand-new spells by accident, possibly in a public place as a result of stress, surprise or other emotions. Who designed those books, anyway? Immortals, wizards, or Magic itself? Until we get a definite answer to that question in the comic, I'm just going to assume that whoever made the spellbooks work the way they do certainly wasn't thinking of making them easy to use for their owners. I really can't blame Elliot or anyone else for not keeping up with their books. Also, I very much doubt that Elliot doesn't actually ever read his book. He might check it once a week or so, but unless there's a new spell at the end or the updates to the old spells are difficult to miss, I know I wouldn't want to read the same book from start to finish every week if I were him. Then again, Elliot only did get his book last year and he doesn't have nearly as many spells as Nanase yet, so... Hmm. Perhaps he should put a bit more effort into checking his book.
  14. Check in here -- Welcome back!

Hi there. I'm a new member, but an old fan. I've read EGS since 2008, I think, and it's absolutely my favorite webcomic. (Well, I don't actually read that many webcomics, but still.) I've also read the old forums for years, but for some reason I just never bothered to join you guys. Then, when the old forums crashed and you lost everything, I figured that what the heck, I may as well join up now that everyone has to start from scratch. (There isn't a Newbie Intro section yet, right? I forgot to check before I began typing this post.)
