pinup Pinup: Sunday, May 1, 2016 (Werewolf Nanase Transformation)
SeriousJupiter replied to Howitzer's topic in EGS Sketchbook Discussion
Yeah, that's not how werewolves work. But who cares, this is probably just Sarah's imagination since she imagined her werewolf self with weird paws too. Also, wow, that fifth Nanase either still has the mind of an animal or whoever she's looking at is about to become very happy. -
pinup Pinup: Sunday, May 1, 2016 (Tedd Mirror)

So... Does the magic mirror reflect one's true self or what? I'll be kinda disappointed if it's only a tool to show the results of various transformation beams/spells/etc. -

Haha, of course this is live. I bet Heidi did that on purpose. -

He looks pretty happy to be naked. I wonder who he's playing with? -
pinup Pinup: Sunday, May 1, 2016 (Charlotte Chillin')

I like this one. Well, I like them all, but there's something extra likable about Charlotte with her legs spread like that. -
Ugh, another duckface. Suddenly I can't take Voltaire as seriously anymore. Anyway, I bet his plan is to lure Sirleck into attacking Raven so Pandora will get pissed off and kill Sirleck. That's one loose end tied up. Next Volty will just have to find a way to kill Elliot before Magus can take possession of his body. I could be wrong, of course, but I'm pretty sure that no matter what happens, Sirleck will be the first one to kick the bucket and no one will miss him.

May I ask why you all were so against the griffin theory? Don't you like griffins?

I very much doubt Ellen could do that. I've always believed that her copy spell only copies appearance, not powers. I think her getting the angel spell when she copied Nanase really was just a bone thrown by God or Magic. Heh, I suppose it's possible that Diane could learn to summon all those things, but somehow I don't think they'd be helpful against vampires. The Vampider identified Diane as a hunter, so her affinity is indeed most likely summoning magic weapons. Also, I think affinities are very different from magic marks and other ways of gaining magic. If a person is born with an affinity for a certain type of spell, how could that possibly have anything to do with their yet undeveloped personality or desires? Diane has admitted that she's not a fighter, but her affinity makes her a potential vampire hunter. The way I see it, once she gains access to magic, she will first be able to learn only spells related to her affinity, and after she's awakened, she could learn spells that reflect her personality.

Okay, I clearly didn't know what I was saying when I said that Elliot had become 100% genderfluid. I had no idea how many politically correct labels actually existed.

Captain America: Civil War was a fantastic movie. I don't read a lot of their comics (with good reason, there hardly are any in Finland), but Marvel sure knows how to make some enjoyable blockbusters. One of my few complaints with the movie is how little screentime Spider-Man got, but I suppose it was to be expected and he was brilliant in his every scene nevertheless. I just don't understand why they absolutely had to make him a teenager. I could live with it, but come on, I wanted to see a grown-up Spidey for a change! The movie didn't make me laugh a lot, but all the drama and action more than made up for that and the after-credits scene made me leave the cinema with a smile on my face anyway.

We've theorized about Susan and Diane's parents so many times that all I really have to say about this page is that I'm very proud of both Nanase and Diane. I love how Nanase explained Diane's affinity to her and then instantly brought up Susan, clearly intending to spill the beans, but Diane beat her to it. Also, if Dan is not joking and the next canon storyline is not about Susan and Diane meeting, I will be very... displeased.

Yeah, that doesn't seem to make any sense. Still, I'm sure that Elliot won't mind learning some non-girly spells even though he likes his superheroine spell now. Edit: Well, actually he's always liked that spell, but now he truly loves it and is completely okay with his girly side.

Elliot and Tedd can change their own clothing when they transform, so it's logical to assume that Ellen will learn/has already learned a beam spell that changes the clothes of its target. -
This page would be a poor last page of this storyline, so I don't think Dan ever even considered ending this storyline on this page.

Hey, that actually looks pretty awesome in a weird, creepy way.

Sketchbook: Thursday April 21 2016
SeriousJupiter replied to ProfessorTomoe's topic in EGS Sketchbook Discussion
In the early days of EGS, nothing could change clothing, but those times are long gone. It's just a matter of time until Ellen learns to change her target's clothes as well as form, assuming she hasn't learned that already off-screen. -
Yes! Finally! Elliot should have listened to Tedd when he explained this to him months ago, but it doesn't matter anymore, he finally got there. Elliot has officially become 100% genderfluid and learned to love his girly spells. Heck, maybe this means that his power buildups are finally over too! I can't wait to see what his new spell is. Maybe a cat spell? Oh please God no. I would be very surprised if he didn't read his spellbook tonight. Well, we've already seen half of the Main Eight as ponies, so seeing Elliot as a pony is pretty much inevitable. He'll probably be an Earth pony like Ellen. I wonder what his Cutie Mark will be. We've only seen Grace's and Justin's CMs so far (three acorns and a d20, respectively).

SeriousJupiter replied to ProfessorTomoe's topic in EGS Sketchbook Discussion
Wheee! Bouncy girl Justin is adorable! That is a hilarious mental image, but unless his clothes changed too, I don't think it's very likely. Then again, everything is possible in non-canon. -
You may trust Voltaire, Dan, but I don't! And you're the friggin' one writing him! Now we know that Abner might not be entirely loyal to ol' Volty and that can only be a good thing. Even if they've worked together before, that doesn't necessarily make them friends. Apparently Volty didn't even tell Abner what Sirleck is and I guess it's because Abner isn't comfortable with working for vampires. However, he seems to have guessed that Sirleck is a bad guy, so maybe that's one reason why he was willing to be a double agent. Abner might think that Voltaire wants to stop Sirleck (which, to be fair, is probably a part of his plan) and he probably believed him at first when he told him about the bigger picture and the greater good. Still, you should never trust a guy when he says he wants to make the world a better place with an evil grin. I hope Voltaire meant it when he said he doesn't need anything from Abner anymore. He might leave him alone long enough for Abner to do a little snooping on his own.
