The leopard eats the bird. The mosquito eats the leopard. The bird eats the mosquito. If there's one thing good about parasites (or at least, mosquitoes) it's that they are a feedback loop in the food chain. The grass consumes sunlight. The buffalo consumes grass. The mosquito consumes the buffalo. A bat which cannot eat grass and cannot consume sunlight lives because mosquitoes are tapping the energy flow for it. -

Didn't Tedd's dad give a really good explanation for why Tedd shouldn't expose magic to everyone's gaze? Bomb suits and rocket launchers? Might be nice to hear the griffins opinion on the matter, but I don't know if a world so horrifying that a magic griffin that could easily defeat a hippo does not get considered a warrior is necessarily a vote in favour of open magic. -

Isn't it odd that, in fiction, we always assume the exposition given by a character is correct? All we actually have is a guy who heard a voice in his head telling him to go talk to Grace. Yeah, OK, voice in head people tend to assume it's God for some reason, but I could easily understand a wizard deciding it was the voice of magic. -

People are implying they think this is a previous life pandora? I'm pretty sure it's the same one, and that the reason she hasn't reset is because of her son. If I'm wrong this has to be even further in the past... Regardless, she has been answering 299 to her age for a few centuries now (at least 3?), and she is presumably about 150 in this one, so it is at the very least 450 years ago? Raven once implied he was British, although I don't know how canon that was. So this is at the latest a 16th century English man, which would put him bang on the war of the roses. Could be earlier. Don't see how it can be later. He has a nice rucksack!

1x, 2x, 4x, 8x I find it quite weird that if I let my eyes unfocus I can read the ... thing ... on the right. Because, honestly, that almost looks like random noise! edit: actually, just walk about 3 meters away and you can read it too -
I was going to copy the book but Dan's art has improved a LOT and it just looked weird. The book looked weird. Susan's expression is perfect.

I always thought Ted was obvious. A wizard is someone who, having seen someone else cast a spell enough times, can cast it themselves.
