Comic for Monday January 31, 2022 Seems like Edward is almost sabotaging them with an overly cautious approach. More points in Charm, set up for the win. How is he a 'top diplomat'?

NP Comic Saturday January 29, 2022 Hmm. I don't see the point of this comic; what did it really tell me that I didn't know? Seriously, what is the point? Grace displays false modesty in the last panel, and calls it 'polite'. In the commentary, Dan explains, "Some cultures do this". If we take Moperville to be a US city, in another universe, yet generally reflective of the US in our world, Grace has basically just been weird again. The jock makes no sense. By middle school, we rarely had mixed gym classes, and then only for a specific purpose. I do not recall a mixed class in high school at all. Even if they did, he was not nearby earlier. How did he happen to overhear? Even if you grant all of that, his reaction in the last panel is just wrong. He would scoff. Period. Maybe challenge Grace. But he would not jerk back incredulously. Especially if he knows of her and thinks she's weird. We have rarely seen his body type in the comic, and never in the school. Even Elliot's, Nanase's, and Justin's muscles aren't that bulky. We rarely see people in the school who are that tall, either, which is actually a bit strange; there should be some.

Comic for Friday January 28, 2021, wherein Edward appears to rock various mustaches. The glasses, the 'stache, Edward is obviously using magic to express himself. Going even more! It's on the same scale as extra virgin! Ludicrous speed!

NP Comic Thursday January 27, 2022 I agree. If you bounce it off their face, it might come back over the net. Better to bounce it off the top of their head, and sail it back, or hit their front and send it down.

Comic for Wednesday January 26, 2022 But what if griffins view squirrels as prey? Wasn't sure how to tag Grace, came up with a solution, Grace, in case anyone searches for her using the tags, and Shade Tail, her name for this form.

Comic for Monday January 24, 2022 Edward needs new glasses. Only the right lens is working. I really want to know more about Elliot's parents.

NP Comic Saturday January 22, 2022 She was noticed. Also, for someone brilliant, Squirrel Girl can be kinda dense. I know people like that. The hair poof is a recent acquisition. She did not have it four comics ago, on Jan 13. Tying her hair back makes sense, but how did it become poofy, like she has a perm on her pony tail? Yes, she could have magiced it, but I think she's been avoiding transforming in public. Not getting what the panel of "..." is for. 'Next panel' kind of says the same thing, and the comments would be flowing; why would people hesitate? There is an aspect to this that says, "Whatever you do in high school, people will talk about it." That part seems accurate.

NP Comic Thursday January 20, 2022 The backpack toss and catch is unreal. You can indeed throw with your legs, but generally not with fine control, not like with your arms. Seems to me that the trajectory of the backpack would have to be rather high to allow Grace time to flip upright before descending. Higher than her school's hallway? The school appears to have high ceilings so maybe not. Anyway, just strength does not allow for that catch, it requires grace as well, so I guess she's aptly named.

NP Comic Tuesday January 18, 2022 Yes, let's not attract attention to ourselves. Also, what is holding that shirt up?

NP Comic Thursday January 13, 2021 Let's hope that last panel is artistic license, not what Grace actually looks like. Although, that would account for Justin's reaction.

NP Comic Tuesday January 4, 2022 Having an exclamation point floating over your head also draws attention. That is, after all, what it's for. Justin illustrates why you should not talk with your mouth full.

NP Comic Saturday January 1, 2022 Good reuse of comic panel between. Nice use of hearts to make Grace even cuter. Grace is not just Teddsexual, she has some of Susan's shipping everyone else going on. And not being a participant.

NP Comic Thursday December 30, 2021 Last NP of 2021. No characters caught COVID-19. I want to see Dan draw a bull carp. Maybe a bull space carp. Ellen is not wrong, although missing the point that general expectations are not an unreasonable thing, otherwise you don't really have a 'society'; she might be more correct saying sometimes societal expectations can be unreasonable. She is experienced in the sense of having Elliot's memories, but that seems to be a step removed; similarly her dream world. Of all the main characters, we have never seen her as a male.

NP Comic Thursday December 16, 2021 Grace makes a good point, why was (were) the compass (and matches, life raft, and guns) packed? My (previous) theory for the first three is for when they return to Earth. The guns could be as well, but there are other possibilities on the moon. There is the possibility of hostile humans, although the EGS universe seems technologically contemporary with ours, and the time frame seems similar, even a bit slower due to the pace of the comic. But we've seen Uryuoms and critters in space, and maybe NASA knows other universes occasionally visit? Same three guys; I wonder if "So cute" foreshadows drama?

NP Thursday November 25, 2021 That does not seem like a phrase Diane would use for Grace appearing upset or depressed. I think of 'What crawled up your butt?' as being directed at someone unnecessarily prickly and antagonistic. Bruce Almighty has a butt monkey, but it crawls out first.

https://www.egscomics.com/egsnp/jestful-01 The start of a new NP story and it is not specifically about a Video Game It is about a live game shaped by the author's experience with Video Games . . . . So is this going to be a story about how Grace does not quite fit in with other kids? Maybe how Grace is too literal, and does not really understand communicating figuratively? Perhaps this is a story actually about Volleyball? In the 1990s there were some quite vocal critics of the direction Volleyball was taking. The Moperville School District Department of Athletic and Physical Education may be among the hold outs that still insists only the serving side can score?
