Also, "guilt's a waste of time" ... sounds too philosophical for him, did his mother told him that? Perhaps related to some guilt she feels but likes to pretend she doesn't? Also, Arthur offered work to Tedd. Took him much longer than I expected. Seriously, thousand seers is more that they expected, but it's still rare enough to employ any seer before someone else does. Not speaking about the fact that if he would be reading Edward's reports, he should've already realized Tedd's potential. Note: It's not just ticking clocks. If there are some issues in current magic system, DGB is already aware of them and can handle them. Unknown magic system would have flaws which would get longer to notice than just learning how to cast the spells.

Arthur's "What" on end is also good, although I predicted facepalm. (Commentary:) Shark's sensing magnetism is relatively normal kind of sense. Let's look at something harder: Imagine AI which only perceives world through the changes of frequency of specific words in news. (Unless you work in Google, then you don't need to imagine.) Magic might be more similar to this, having most information about world from what spells will people desire and how are they using them ... like, if there is epidemic, it doesn't see lot of sick people. It senses lot of people suddenly wanting healing spells.

http://www.egscomics.com/index.php?id=2459 Tedd's making progress now, no anger, no statistics or probabilities, gotta be clear, concise and from the heart. And seems like Arthur might not know that Adrian is Tedd's godfather after all, because he certainly knows Adrian Raven since he tried to deport him, so he should have connected Pandora earlier when it was reveal that she protected her son from aberrations. Also turns out that the WoM doesn't quite have the flair for the dramatic that everyone assumed. I guess it's just been winging it this whole time. And then Van, I dunno, certainly seems like he's taken to Tedd quite well, has Tedd realized that he could be her half brother? I would think Van would have said something if he recognized Tedd's name, and Tedd doesn't know Van's last name yet, but is the fact that he to has a mom that's a monster hunter enough?

His first plan to kill Elliot and traumatize Tedd failed, Plan CM was also to manipulate Tedd, so what better way to do so than to have it revealed to him that his dream of making magic public is doomed and believe that the WoM is a real jerk, then get Pandora close to Tedd, then set her up to get forcibly reset, and then top off the fact that the WoM is a jerk by having it be the one that tells Tedd that Pandora was reset.

http://www.egscomics.com/?id=2456 So it would seem that Tedd succeeded in convincing Arthur that it would be next to impossible to keep magic secret for long. But it's not quite enough yet to convince the WoM that only minimum changes are needed.

http://www.egscomics.com/index.php?id=2452 (Link not yet working but main page does have the new comic up) Looks like I interpreted that reddit post right, that some Seers had figured out what the second purpose would be and made themselves ineligible. Also my assumption that 3 seers in the meeting being unheard of, a little surprised that it might have been 5, I did expect there might have been more that became ineligible in some way and Tedd's statement of the higher number being due to higher world population makes perfect sense for it. And turns out Tedd didn't intend on hiding who she was after all, but I like how she handled it.
