Comic for Monday, Mar 17, 2025 Immortal not understanding human moral judgement - Hope does not get the concept of keeping others secrets. Hope seems proud of herself for the reveal, for remembering and figuring things out. Grace seemed to anticipate the issue, maybe not expecting Hope to be so direct, but I assume she was guessing it was Rhoda. The main cast are in shock, maybe because Hope is a bit of a loose cannon, 'I might be next', or maybe because the reached the wrong conclusion previously regarding Rhoda and Catalina. Jay/Jill seems to be a bit put off. Probably senses something weird just happened, but not sure what. Maybe sees Hope a bit too bubbly about Pandora's past actions, but she's be unaware of much of it. It's getting interesting.

Comic for Monday, Mar 3, 2025 I like the progress in this comic, it is moving forward. Hope's expression in the second panel, "Yeah, I caused that in a previous life"; priceless. Seems Arthur made an awful judgement call. He could have put together some innocuous spells that would have satisfied her; instead, he cut her off and made her search on her own; he lost control of the situation. I don't recall transformation being a thin in The Sword in the Stone, but it's been ages since I saw it. 'Does 'Gasp' say "Grace likes it, too" to every body else? I didn't get that 'til I read the commentary. The last I recall, the main cast is not in the know about Rhoda and Catalina's magic. Why does Grace sound like she knew Rhoda had size magic? I could see them figuring out that it is Rhoda after comparing notes, but this skips several steps. Even "Why, do you know her?" seems unwarranted; they haven't been given enough information about this person, unless they specifically know she has size magic, and that it is uncommon. Still warts and all, I'm glad it's rolling forward.

Comic for Wednesday, Feb 26, 2025 Susan is the Jill Whisperer. Excited Jill is very appealing. I think that's the first time she's let her guard down in-comic. And apparently, she likes Susan calling her out. This is going to be a fun relationship.

Comic for Friday, Feb 21, 2025 I'm not getting why Grace facepalmed. It must have to do with being misunderstood. Also not really getting the group's shock that Hope had a previous husband. She is ancient, and they know that. Is it that she had a relationship with a human in the past? Also curious if she is linking Jill and Susan or Jill and Tedd.

Comic for Wednesday, Feb 12, 2025 Grace is sad. Jill is perceptive, and . . . startled?

Comic for Monday, Feb 10, 2025 Jill should probably confess to Grace that she was the smoke interloper; if it comes out later, Grace will have grounds to mistrust Jill. Meta: That Jill/Jay/Jack has multiple names is going to play havoc with future searches for her. The previous comic sounded like "The cop's still not an adult daughter (though maybe older than me) told me . . .". Today's comic sounds like Jill met Bishop when Bishop was already an adult (at least chronologically). Confusing, but I think the intent was spelled out today. That puts Bishop at a minimum in her mid thirties, figuring college, FBI training, and Jill is around 18 now (so 18 - 6 = 12 years). Arthur shot a guy who needed to be shot is a revelation; he has more of a badass background that he seems to have.

Comic for Friday, Nov 1, 2024 Well, that went quickly. They are both plenty observant, although reflecting back, if Jay knows about immortals, wouldn't she recognize what Hope was claiming to be? I seem to recall a comic stating that 'all wizards are descendants of immortals. Was there such a statement? She might not be aware of it (indeed, maybe Arthur isn't), nor who the immortal was. Last panel, mlooney's ship is making progress in the shipyard. That wasn't quite a proposal. Pretty damn close, though.

Comic for Monday, Oct 28, 2024 Hope went right to dumping the frijoles. She is more confident than she was minutes ago, this makes sense how? Still, it works, and it is keeping a nice pace going. Jill is confused. I'd be confused, but she has the advantage of already knowing about magic, and Hope just mentioned, "I'm an magic bean" (frijole). We all know the hazards of magic beans, they make big plants that climb up to the clouds overnight and let huge giants climb down. So don't plant Hope. Susan figured it out right away, authenticated Hope, and is hopping down the bunny trail. I like that they stepped up the game quickly.

Comic for Wednesday, Oct 30, 2024 Hope is still finding her way, no confidence. Panel four, she was at her limit, running on fumes. But everyone was agreeable and accepting (not something I expected from Jill). Panel seven, Hope is shipping them as well.

Comic for Wednesday, Oct 2, 2024 This is the first indication of this weakness in immortals. Jill appears to have lasted slightly longer, with similar results; but she is a young child, with low magic resistance, stated a few comics back. Hmm. Voltaire backed off when Tara demanded it. I guess the EGS universe can mount a resistance when they need to. (Voltaire needs a MIGA hat, but he'd be too classy to wear it. Because he does not wear trucker hats. He's fine with his slogan.)

Comic for Monday, Sep 30, 2024 Wow, that got dark fast. Jay is in pretty good shape considering how traumatized this would have left her. This reminds me of the horror trope where the little kid has powers, of the picked on loner who starts fires with her mind.

Comic for Friday, Sep 27, 2024 Jill seems to have caught a bit of Pandora. That much power as a child would be bad. A real human with that much power would turn out badly, few constraints.

Comic for Wednesday, Sep 25, 2024 The top line of text boxes are not captions for the comic frames under them; those are an older memory. This was not obvious at first. Pandora has compassion, at least in this instance. Pandora is not exactly in control of herself when the emotions flow. My conclusion is that immortals are never actually adult, by human standards.

Comic for Friday, Sep 20, 2024 Pandora is showing compassion to Jill as a child. The issue Jill is having is unclear.
