I didn't say "most popular". I said "most triumphant". As in, "most exemplary." As in, you fit the "unusual hair color" trope better than anyone else here.

Actually.. it's been established that there's a magically enforced Sunnydale Syndrome.. seen through in a lot of the right conditions, but a lot of people who, to a particular extrent, want to remain oblivious get to remain unaware with some magical nudges.

I don't really like the idea of this, but obviously it's too late now. I'm debating whether to insist that my characters don't get more than a passing mention, so it'd be nice if you left their names out, at least for now.

I assume we just want general tropes and not list every single characters tropes?

Tropes that exist in the setting alone, I should think, as well as some of the more common tropes applying to some of the more known people.

(including myself. And no, I was not following the innocent fanservice girl links. nu-uh)

Suspiciously Specific Denial. :P

if only there was something we could use for that effectively...

Skype? :P Though this thread seems to work well enough.

Well, been nice knowing all you tropers. God speed and may your editing someday come to an end.

...what?

Pretty sure this is characteristic of most of the avatars in general. =P

Nah, I wouldn't say that. My characters do tend to have something in common with me in terms of ideology and stuff, but most of them are not self-inserts, and some are completely unlike me. At least, they seem completely unlike me to me. Maybe I'm just biased. :P

Punny Name is obvious.

Instant Runes is Played Straight and MONUMENTALLY subverted.

Geometric Magic - all over the damn place.

Ethical Slut - Rette...

The Atoner - A few characters, including Roon.

Blood Magic - seen in a few cases.

Life Force - Something that is generally established

Might I suggest three sections? A section of Tropes applying to Tandy itself (Genius Loci, etc.), a section applying to Fighters, and a section devoted to magic system tropes?

Rette is a spritely little badass. Watch out for those twinkletoes, baddies; they're only twinkling because light is reflecting off the steel.- Lorne Logan
Nobody out-crazies Roon. Ever.- Azalea
Finally there is Roon's Law, which goes: "It doesn't matter because I am AWESOME." - The Old hack
Frankly, I think we actually corrupted Roon. His avatar's extended descent into madness mirrors his internal turmoil. I blame Cyber. - frozenchicken

Which is it? It can't be both.

I have suggested a character page, so if we can all agree on that then that'll cover Fighters, as well as the magic systems they use. As for everything else, they'd go on the main page.

Though if we make a character page, we'd need to make some sort of qalification for who goes on there, so every random person that comes in to join in the Arena doesn't just dump his character on there befre really being established.

In several different cases. Instant Runes has happened with at least one fighter here, but is SUBVERTED with most notably Roon and Rette, but also with characters like Aly, who actually need to take great pains to draw theirs.

Hrm... the category system thing might work, but instead of Location, per say, we might go for the nature of the arena. For instance, Characters are supposedly marksmen, but in the Arena, they seem to have taken a few courses from the Imperial Stormtrooper Marksmanship Academy. This is, of course, due to the nature of the Arena, etc.

Of course, we can probably hit every single trope in the entire site if we try, so it might be best to avoid those that only apply to a character or two, and simply note common ones.

It would actually be amusing to see people try, so long as the page was sufficiently organized with folders to reduce clutter.
