Mr Tensaided is george's father.

Ok, no reason for this other than both are heavyset, hairy, nerds. But this is a similarity.

The fact that our lives still suck despite all of this luxury is mainly a testament to the fact that half of mankind's troubles are caused by people being jerks to each other rather than coming from the outside world. Starvation exists these days not because we can not produce enough food to feed the people that we have, but rather because those who control the food don't want to let some people have it for one reason (money) or another (power).

Guys, guys, come on. George and Mr. Tensaided are clearly Dewitchery Diamond duplicates who've had their powers and memories suppressed.

If that's the case, what enchantment did the de-witchery diamond disenchant?
and what kind of havoc would they cause if they knew about it? :o

That would mean Tensaided can grow beards on other people while George can grow his own beard.

...and that Tensaided can never be rid of his own beard (while George can switch back and forth as often as he wants).

Wild theory: Tedd is a Troper.

He did cite the Brain Bleach trope by name.

Possibly Nanase as well, since she at least knows the term "Deadpan Snarker". (Susan might also be a troper, given her recognition, but that could also be understanding the term based on the context).

Brain Bleach is a common word used even by non-tropers, and "deadpan snarky jokes" could simply be a coincidence. Although it does have merit, I am here to be overly critical.

"Deadpan" and "snarky" are both about a hundred years old. Did she use them because Dan likes TVTropes, likely. But they're valid words on their own.

Yes, that's why I said it could just be a coincidence. However, what are the odds? I'd say relatively low.

I'd say it has nothing to do with coincidence. Since EGS probably exists on TVTropes, (I'm not checking.) it would not make sense for it to exist in universe.

EGS does exist on the TV Tropes archives. However, in-universe, EGS would not exist. That would be the "Real Life" section. TV Tropes would probably be the same, but altered. Broken Masquerade would have a Real Life example of the revelation of magic and superpowers, and Cheerleadra would be the Real Life example of the Superhero trope (well, the only one with powers). You Gotta Have Blue Hair wouldn't be a trope. Hyperspace Mallet would've had real-world basis until recently (and Amy Rose would probably provide the trope picture instead of Sarah). TV Tropes can exist in-universe, just with a few tweaks to avoid recursion.

The real question is whether or not Tedd (and maybe others, but Tedd seems the most likely) is a troper.

George probably is, though. And maybe Mr. Tensaided.

that would be quite a significant alteration to TV Tropes.

Maybe? Wikipedia probably still exists in (for example) the "Harry Potter" universe and yet there's lots of articles about Harry Potter on it in real life! If it's not too outlandish, I'd suggest we just assume that Wikipedia is the same minus any references to Harry Potter. The same presumably goes for TV Tropes.

With pretty much any fictional product set in the real world you just have to assume any references to the fictional product that would be there in the real world just aren't there. There's no need to assume that TV Tropes or Wikipedia couldn't exist just because they'd have to be different. Besides, if Dan never wrote TV Tropes in real life I'd say its a safe bet to say TV Tropes would still be almost identical to how it is now (despite the obvious differences Zorua highlighted above).

Tedd was born a mageorg, a human with important parts of his/her/its biology replaced with magic, because his parents' powers added together were past the human limit for magical ability. A mageorg is incredibly powerful, but if they ever burn out their bodies can no longer function and they die, and just about every young mageorg overuses magic at some point, giving them a survival-to-maturity probablity of just a few percent.

Fortunately, while he was still too young to resist magic used "against" him, his parents cast a compulsion spell on him forcing his tiny body to use all its magic for regeneration, resulting in his "magic" parts being replaced with normal biological ones. He can now survive without magic, and he has to because he is now one of the few humans alive with absolutely no magic in him. If circumstances force magic into him (frequent use of the TFG, for example) then the next strong magical stress or even powerful emotion he feels will let it leak out as light.

Interesting, but there's evidence against it.

1. Today's update strongly implies he knows about whatever is unusual about him
2. He was performing a magic resistance based test on himself when Sarah arrived

If he knows he has no magic resistance, there would be no point in the experiment. Well, other than satisfying his TF fetish, but then it wouldn't have been a test, it would have been just for fun.
