Are you all right Joe? I heard southern New England got the worst of it.
Everyone else on the forum in one piece? I'm lucky I'm sandwiched between two mountain ranges.

I was starting to wonder myself, since New York and New England both still have a lot of outages, and may not be fully recovered until the weekend.
I only lost power for a few hours, and a friend got his back in 48 hours despite an estimate of a week, but others haven't been so lucky.

We got off very lucky. Most of the hassle came in preparing for the storm, cleaning up, shopping, getting rid of garbage, and so forth. But, in an almost bizarre stroke of luck, our corners of the Hudson Valley managed to escape practically unscathed. We didn't even get a blackout. And we always get blackouts! Not this time, though. The worst of it was our road flooding and keeping us in for a week. So I can't complain. Many others were not as fortunate.

So that's two, good. Haven't heard from Omega, I might have to chopper in and look for him.
In other news, Hurricane Katia is revving up and taking the same path Irene did.
