Alright, so there's this thing called http://topwebcomics.com . Would someone care to explain how Zebra girl just jumped from its 200+ position to top 20 like in over a night?

I mean this is great news, but very unexpected.

Oh, and happy new year, I guess :)

Happy New Year!

And I have no idea about Zebragirl's leap up the chart, maybe Zebrafans are all just naturally lazy and slow and only just got around to voting as a whole? There does seem to be alot of lurkage around here, there could be millions of Zebrafans without us ever knowing about it...

There was probably a data reset from a set point in the past, changing the totals for each comic. :P Nothin' special. /downer

Ah, of course!
Should've figured it out myself. That makes much more sense than the theory of underground zebra movement.

*sigh*

Yes, it resets every month. I once signed on just after the beginning of the month and managed to put EVERY comic in CMX (at least those listed in TopWebComics) into the top 100, just with one vote apiece.
Of course, that didn't last very long.

Try my Wotch dialogue search engine. You can vote at TWC for all 910CMX comics here

Yeah, seems like ZG is out of the top 100 again :(
However, this has taught me how the TopWebcomic system works, so this adventure wasn't all for nothing. Knowledge is power and so on.

It now seems to be hovering just above 100, but that's probably because there was an update (and a really nice one at that!). It's nice to think that maybe some people will notice the comic name in the short time that it's on the first page, but it's a shame that only the top 10 get their banners displayed.
In order to clearly see what is in the shadows, you must first enter them.

There seems to be two zebra girl entries, though one of them seem to be an old obsolete version. Currently 109 as of this post.

Topwebcomics? I stopped following that site after Cru the Dwarf has been in top 10 for over whole month, and that was years ago. If that's the kind of crap that gets top listing it's really not worth anyone's attention.

I could make a similar comment concerning the popularity of Wotch and El Goonish Shive compared to the amount of skill and talent that's been poured into them....

...but this might be very wrong place for that.
