Well, assuming that it's a randomized sanctioned match (which should generally be true unless the characters have met before and wanted to fight each other in a sanctioned match or randomly stumbled across each other and tried to kill the other guy), having a matchup with external motives for the two to actually fight is irrelevant. They already have a motive provided: They signed up for an Arena match. No, it doesn't have to make sense, but nor is the arena an excuse to not even try to make it make sense when there is an option to do so.

Just depends on how you want your fight to be.I realize, but that's just an available plot device. It doesn't mean you should use it even when you have a better one.

Monster, not dragonsPreference is Molly. If only because it makes sense seeing as she has a thing against Dragons and Grace is kinda... Well, yeah. A dragon.
That is utterly Molly where monsters are concerned. Doubly if there's a princess around. Unless she has to save the sweet gentle monster from the ravening fire-breathing princess again....or randomly stumbled across each other and tried to kill the other guy)
Edit: I just realised the above all put together sounds kinda like I'm wanting to kill someone, which is totally not intended. Just I don't have a reason to give yet for why a little kid would be interested in signing up to something where she's not allowed to end monsters. Yet meaning 'has one, but can't put it in action yet'.

Monster, not dragons
Preference is Molly. If only because it makes sense seeing as she has a thing against Dragons and Grace is kinda... Well, yeah. A dragon.(There is some ridiculous logic in her exact definition of 'monster', but i'll spare the textwall.) But yeah, Molly it is, though I'd request non-sanctioned with Molly if that'd be fine with you.
Well I did kinda see this part of her profile.
1x Force of will: Molly really doesn't give way easy, and really does believe you can do anything if you try hard enough. Or in other words, she doesn't lose courage, she doesn't give up, and she really will try to punch out reality if it gives her just cause to. Also dragons if they give her cause to.
So I kinda assumed she had a special thing against Dragons, but I digress.

Also reality! But that line was based on the fact there aren't many things bigger than a full grown dragon, and to give a sense of her inability to determine what should be at least statistically improbable i.e. punching down a dragon. Harpies aren't quite so big or ridiculous a target

Oh hey, it's that person! Welcome to the arena!*Annabelle seeks a challenger, but no ordinary challenger. A challenger willing to RP up to the fight. I find it silly to just waltz up to someone and say "Defend Thyself Knave!" and start fighting them.*
Oh, I dunno; I could probably think of several things. But that line was based on the fact there aren't many things bigger than a full grown dragon,

And if need be I can quote to you the AD&D Bestiary. plenty of stuff bigger than a grown dragon.
And yes it is me isn't it? Figured I'd trolled around the IRC channel long enough, you all seem to be decent folks, if a wee bit on the power hungry side.

Well Khar'ren, my Bloodletter character, would work, since her entire motivation as a daemon of Khorne basically is to fight...*Annabelle seeks a challenger, but no ordinary challenger. A challenger willing to RP up to the fight. I find it silly to just waltz up to someone and say "Defend Thyself Knave!" and start fighting them.*
...But I'm in the Tournament... and technically still fighting.
Yeah, being an Evangelion-sized Mecha kinda limits the places Eagator can go "Big mode"...Oh, I dunno; I could probably think of several things.
The first one that comes to mind is giant space birds.

Granted, most planet-bound creatures are probably smaller than or similar in size to a dragon. The only exception I can think of is the blue whale. I imagine a dragon to be on the same order of size as some of the larger dinosaurs.Allow me to rephrase: '...Few monsters bigger than a dragon without getting into Unicron territory, and while remembering the size of the stardragon in 'The Iron Man''

Among other things I'm sure. There's always Jörmungandr.
It might be best to first agree on the size with whomever you're writing with, there are other interpretations. Personally, I tend to think of western style dragons on the scale of the larger carnivorous dinosaurs, scaling them according to herbivorous dinosaurs would seem to be reserved for particularly large examples.Granted, most planet-bound creatures are probably smaller than or similar in size to a dragon. The only exception I can think of is the blue whale. I imagine a dragon to be on the same order of size as some of the larger dinosaurs.

And they think it will make their lives easier
For God knows up till now it's been hard…
This is not a subliminal message.
