It's on my shopping list, because I don't have enough unfinished DS/3DS Games. Is it less frustrating than the original Mystery Dungeon?

Just started a replay of Pokemon Platinum, synced with the anime as much as I can.

Anyone playing Stardew Valley? Anyone that's ever played a Harvest Moon game would thoroughly enjoy it.

I had a bit of a ragequit moment the other day when I accidentally placed a cherry bomb next to a chest full of crafting materials.... lol

Not my OS.

The game, however, is easy to fall in love with (at first sight) because of the friendly nature of the villagers. Plus, they look so cute.

Still cannot believe the customization settings for the character.

I know you mean the one of the original two Pokémon Mystery Dungeon games but I'm gonna be a smart ass and ask if you mean the original game in the Mystery Dungeon series Torneko no Daibōken: Fushigi no Dungeon (meaning Torneko's Great Adventure: Mystery Dungeon) which is to Dragon Quest what Pokémon Mystery Dungeon is to Pokémon. The Mystery Dungeon series also has Chocobos and a Feudal Japan Era Rōnin called Shiren the Wanderer.

Starting up Bastion, the Steam game Melanie got me for my Birthday today.

Does that one also have annoying NPCs with a tendency to wander off and get attacked during Escort Missions? And yes, I was talking about Pokemon Mystery Dungeon, Red/Blue Rescue Team.

So, that experiment where I'm trying to play Pokemon Platinum in sync with my binge-watch of the anime:

DP001: I start the game (as a girl named Dawn, naturally), select Piplup as my starter and make it to Sandgem Town by the end.

DP002: I move on to Route 202, start catching Pokemon and level grinding. Soon after this I find out that it took the characters until DP010 to get to Jubilife City. So I just keep grinding.

DP010: Enter Jubilife City, get the Poketch, and then go back to grinding on Route 202. If the game a Contest Hall in Jubilfe, I would have done a few to correspond to DP011 and 12.

DP013: I finally move on to Route 203, do a few battles, and I manage to evolve Starly with perfect timing.

DP015: I enter Oreburgh City, go to the mine.

DP016: I battle Roark and win. Since it took Ash another two episodes to beat him, I go back to catching and grinding.

DP019: Since the episode is entirely about Dawn catching Pachirisu, I decided to break the (self-imposed) rules a little, run as fast as I could to Route 205 and catch one as well. Succeeded with perfect timing. Heading back to Route 204 next.

I believe SeriousJupiter was taking you too literally with the Monferno remark, which I'm assuming is a reference to Ash's (who's still with Paul and a Chimchar where I'm up to). Not sure where I could find one locally, without starting a new game.

Right now, I'm just outside Eternia City, waiting to be allowed in.

This reminds me that I still have my Diamond game with about 10 or 20 pokémon left to full completion (5 or 6 not counting event-only pokémon). It's the closest I've ever been to complete a Pokédex and it's satisfying and infuriating at the same time. Ugh.

I've completed my 4th, 5th and 6th Gen Pokédexes (not counting every event Pokémon). It took quite a while, but I did it and I'm quite proud. However, I believe I won't buy Sun and Moon. I've played Pokémon for most of my life, ever since the first Gen came out, so perhaps it's time for me to find some other hobby.

I'm thinking I might get into the next gen, whatever they do with the NX. Would be my first one since Gen II. (I played Diamond back when, but only 5 or 6 hrs or so by borrowing a fat DS from a friend). I'm currently playing Pokémon Zeta, and I'm rather liking it. Mostly 'cause it's the beautiful sprite based stuff....I freakin' hate the 3D art in the later games. It's so hideous. The balance is odd to me due to the games being based on Gen V, so the balance is way different than my Gen I and Gen II experiences.

Off the pokemon topic, I recently beat XCOM: EW, and have picked up valkyria chronicles. So far, vc is easier, as it relies less on luck. The defensive tactics that xcom trained into me are rather effective when all your units have over watch and infinite grenades.

I guess the challenge is going to be winning in only a few turns, I'm getting consistent c's and d's on time, though I've yet to lose a soldier.

They're roguelikes so of course they'll go out of their way to cancel out your hard ground experience,, escorting stupid NPC missions, can't take two steps w/o encountering an enemy, etc. .

Rotten fracking Steam sales. Too much of my money is going toward portly purveyors of pixelated pleasure, especially within the last week.

King's Quest (2015) chapter 3 is pretty good so far, especially the puzzle where Cedric the owl gets carried off by a badger.

Wait, there's a King's Quest newer than Mask of Eternity?!

Got to play Smash at my friend's house. Gotta say, likin' the changes to Charizard and Zero Suit Samus.

Kept forgetting that Charizard's side-B isn't Rock Smash anymore, though.
