That's obvious. Math can only go to the limits of human body. For Greg, only limit is he wouldn't be able to time travel. (Hmmmm ... does it means he will never be as good as Jedi knight, who can react to attack which didn't started happening yet?)

Greg could get an early warning system that warns him in time to react.

I'd say Math has already surpassed human limits.  I wouldn't count on Math not being able to break through Greg's shield, either.  Oh sure not the first time he encounters it, or even the second....

We're talking something on the order of a kung fu master (Math) vs a shotakan master (Greg).

If he surpassed human limits, he's super, by definition. Unless they have separate category for "kung fu" masters, but still, it would label him as something else than normal human. Yet he was introduced as normal human, only with skill.

(Note that apparently, Kung fu is incorrect name for anything. You might mean Shaolin wugong.)

I might mean Saholin wugong, but we both know what we mean.  Soft style vs. Hard style.  Math is fast and slippery, Greg is big, solid and powerful.

The way I read Girl Power's exposition on Math, he surpassed human limits and the best anybody can tell he did it though training with no known super ability to explain it.  YMMV.

Greg DID hit the fly, didn't he? Truth is we didn't really saw much of how can Greg fight.

Math is a preternaturally skilled martial artist, capable of moves that many would call superhuman. His reflexes, speed, attack and defensive abilities exceed many members of the team that actually have powers in those categories, making him one of the more dangerous members on the team, despite him not technically actually having any powers.

I would say he just shown how far the human limits are from where most people expect them to be.

Unless he lies and actually have some power, of course, but I suppose Dabbler scanned him.

Good point.  We're working with limited in-continuity data in both cases, so we have to read between the lines.

My understanding is people built like Greg are considered the body type for hard styles like Shotakan.  I don't remember seeing Greg kick.  Obviously he knows how, but not seeing it suggests his fighting style emphasizes punches more.

My understanding is that the rules for competitive kickboxing specify a required minimum amount of actual kicking - it's a relatively inefficient form of attack and thus would otherwise be rarely used, making the name of the sport a lie.

I'm told because of their respective proportions, women have a shorter reach with their arms but an equal reach with their legs compared to a man of the same height.  Thus, women often do better by emphasizing kicks more than men.  I suppose if most men have trained with an emphasis on punches, and practiced sparring with other men similarly inclined, then women would also have some degreee of advantage by emphasizing kicks because men wouldn't be as prepared for them.

How about Math v.s Greg cosplaying as Chun-Li?

I want to see Math's expression those first few seconds when his brain is trying to make sense of what he is seeing...

How about taking it a step further and having Ellen zap Greg before the fight?

That's not fair at all.  Unless Math has finished Max's "Go on the internet and look at boobs until you are bored of them" assignment.

I was thinking more about Math trying to process the idea that he's fighting a guy transformed into a hot girl.

I don't think he would get that far in processing to notice it's a guy and is fighting him.

According to tvtropes, while full 360 degree roundhouse kick is impractical, "simple" variant is quite good.

In non-staged fight, there is also big advantage of usually wearing shoes (sometimes relatively heavy) while having knuckles on hands all the time is less common.

Also, men may be distracted by women kicking more than women punching.

Math is extreme case here (also, more distracted by boobs than legs), but even fraction of second can be important in fight.

When has that ever worked?

Based on personal experience, yes.  At one time surfing for porn was part of my job description, almost word for word.  Normal generic heterosexual porn falls into the "meh" zone and I haven't seen any thing in 15 years or so that I would call shocking.

Oddly non photographic "porn" and or nudity is much more interesting to me.  So yeah, I will save a PNG of Nanase nude and sort of a werewolf, but a full frontal nude photo of, say, Sasha Grey, gets a 5 second look, if that, and a meh.

Well, in this case it's short for Matthias, but I assume you knew that.

Googling ... comparing to patreon ... I'm not sure Sasha Grey is that good example. Of course her best photos might not be on front page of google search, but still.

Just her name results in a rather safe for work result.  For a very not safe for most work places result add nude to the search.

Actually, there is that "american apparel" section ... but yes, I did added nude.

The question is of whether Math would be "cured" by such a method, given that being "distracted by the sexy" is an integral gag for the character.

As Parson Gotti once said, "We try things.  Sometimes they even work."
