Filler 7/21/18 - "Did- did one of them just... MOVE?"

A filler featuring a Chris Van Allsburg-inspired project I'm working on. I think that the note on the side says most of what I have to say, but there's still room for some details. :-)

A fellow artist suggested I self-publish my own 'zine of sorts, featuring comics and drawings outside of The Heroes Of C.R.A.S.H. Although I am working on a printed HoC comic, as well, this 'zine would be a bit cheaper, xeroxed and stapled by me, whereas the HoC comic collection I want to print will likely use a print-on-demand service. This 'zine would give me a chance to showcase some of my work outside my usual comic, and show off my range. Besides which, it's a nice brain stretch.

I don't want to get too deep into my intentions with the art, because I want to leave some degree of ambiguity with the illustration. I will say that I wanted to draw a character that was less toony than my usual characters, but not entirely realistic either. I tried to channel a little Danielle Corsetto into this character (particularly with the shape of the chin), but somehow, I think I accidently channeled some Jeph Jacques instead - whose style, thankfully, is just as awesome. If you read the note on the side, you know that I've left an art prompt and a writing prompt for my fellow creatives: Either draw a different cartoon with the same caption, or draw a story to go with my drawing, using the caption as the first or last line. If you try out either prompt (or both!), please let me know!
