Well, Grace, you didn't TOLD him you are part alien, you only told that to Adrian and Jerry ... and surprisingly you weren't worrying about telling them ... you only shown him something he didn't understand. That shouldn't be THAT dangerous. Hopefully. And it WAS accident that he was able to recognize the difference ...

And Sam? So what if she looked that way, she's still nice. Would you be scared by Florence too?

(And, yes, there is nothing normal on you being able to hide your antennae.)

Well, she did mention werewolf before her transformation, "Smoke" might just run with that if he can't logically explain (to either himself or someone else, dunno) what he just saw. Sam certainly seems to take it seriously given what he imagined.

Good point. He has no way to know that 1) werewolves were enchantment and he would therefore be able to learn the spell 2) Pandora got rid of them.

She SAID "kind of" and no (were)wolf would have this kind of tail(s). But hey, maybe Sam isn't that good in biology.

There aren't a lot of wolves in Illinois these days, but even cartoon wolves have long, bushy tails, although not as large in proportion to their bodies as squirrels or quite as bushy, and seldom more than one.

Since Grace's face was facing away from Sam when she squirreled-out, Sam might not be so sure she didn't have a wolf's muzzle when she was intimidating Smokey. I can see Grace reassuring Sam that she isn't a "real" werewolf because there aren't any, any more, and maybe letting slip that Pandora is the reason there aren't any real werewolves left (although Abraham did help).

And that last thought triggered an idea, maybe a crack in the logic of Dan's conception of Immortal Law: If vampires aren't human any more, why is it breaking Immortal Law to kill them directly?

The monsters at the mall had weird forms, some vaguely looking animal like. Smoke might end up getting people thinking she's one of them.

Smoke is scared.  Hard to tell just what the eventual reaction may be.

Sam is nervous.  But if Sarah has seen Grace do this trick and is still her best friend, then she absolutely will not be freaked by any transformation Sam could display.

As the tastiest and most expendable member of the crew, Sam spends much of his time on the Savage Chicken scared of Florence.

Not necessarily.  It's kind of like the Uncanny Valley -- it might freak someone out more to see a transformation that's still within the normal human range, than one that's far beyond it.  At least a werewolf-y transformation is obvious, whereas a within-human change could be hidden from a person or lied about, thus feel more like a betrayal than a secret.  It's not logical, but neither is the Uncanny Valley effect.

Due to recent question if Nanase was ever fox, I was looking for differences between foxes and wolves and found that foxes have fluffier tail. I suspect squirrels have even more fluffier.

Abraham's help probably wasn't significant. Sure, he killed some monsters, but I suspect Pandora used LOT of hunters.

Remember that we don't actually know the wording of immortal law ; we know Magus on spiritual plane was excluded, but vampires apparently aren't. It's likely that Uryuoms are included despite not being human (and Grace being just quarter human).

He might ; people wouldn't understand what is aberration and why is obvious Grace isn't one. On the other hand, people may think HE's one of them too if he forget to transform back :)

Sam is scared of basically everything. Even ostrich found him tasty, and those eat just plants and invertebrates ... wait, Sam is invertebrate, so everything matches :)

One of the speculations is that Uncanny Valley effect is supposed to warn us from diseases. Human with (contagious) disease is more dangerous than something which is obviously not human.

However, we already saw her reaction to Elliot and I don't think uncanny valley had anything to do with it :)

We've also seen her reaction to Grace looking like her, female and male.

Yup. Although there couldn't be ANY chance for uncanny valley here because Grace copies exactly. :)

That explains why he is so scared--he is completely spineless!

Sam had enough backbone to come out once, and he did go on that first not-a-date with Sarah despite misgivings from the moment he agreed to it.

Oh, sorry, wrong Sam. The spineless Sam to whom we were referring was Sam Starfall from the comic "Freefall", who comes from a race of intelligent sqids (deliberately spelled with no "u").

That was because U don't want to go anywhere near them.
