Fairy Ashley has obviously learned from watching James Bond movies.

Anything the "Hero" is carrying might be a weapon or some other useful tool.

And don't forget to take the Walther PPK before you reveal your elaborate plan and then leave him alone in your utterly inescapable deathtrap.

What makes Ashley think mere mercenaries would KNOW plans of their employer?

They still have arms! The disarm wasn't thorough enough!

Although with them shrunk, their arms would be much less useful as weapon.

... hmmm ... I suspect this is the part where it's obvious Ashley is not bound by same rules as EGS immortals. I don't think this could be hidden under "empower and guide", and they don't really attacked her or anything.

Note that you shouldn't be at ease about things the "Hero" is NOT carrying. See MacGyver.

Either that, or she's familiar with the trope of Victoria's Secret Compartment.

I vaguely remember hearing about an anime or manga (or both) where the warriorlady's girlfriend transforms into a weapon through the power of love.

Considering the feelings that have been developing between Nanase and Sarah over the course of the comic. Ashley might have made a mistake by not separating them. ;)

I think the number of anime where some girls transforms through the power of love is quite big. Might include Sailor Moon ... let's see ... (warning tvtropes) ... yeah, definitely includes Sailor Moon.

... what, you think that doesn't count? Those magical girls are totally more weapons than humans.

No no, this was more of an NSFW form of expression of love that caused the warrior's girlfriend to transform into a sword or gun with which the warrior used to defeat the big baddy. I couldn't find it in the tropes page you link.

I know about drawing swords FROM someone but becoming sword, sorry. Nothing here either. But sounds interesting.

Hmmm ... something from this page?

Valkyrie Drive (the second gif) is most likely the one I'm thinking about given the description.

Quote

Valkyrie Drive: Mermaid uses the same concept as Soul Eater. Instead of using the idea to learn about friendship, power, and your own inner strength however, Valkyrie Drive uses the idea as an excuse to fanservice. In this anime, characters who are infected by the A Virus gain the power to transform into weapons when they're sexually aroused. Metaphor, much?
