... that sounds like the clothes exchange spell. So she can now cast it as fairy?

I agree with Nanase, there is a great deal of overlap between Cool and Sexy.  And that is both.

I agree not only with this, but also that it would be weird NOT to have such outfit. She's in ... what's the word ... committed relationship. Or is that "engagement"?

Not sure what it portends for the party if an outfit has a skirt so short it needs a Scenery Censor (caution:TV Tropes) in Panel 2, even if the "Scenery" is a fairy-doll tail.

... that teenagers will be involved?

I'm not sure if the skirt would really NEEDS a scenery censor ... until Nanase starts flying little higher. Then it will be useful to have one present.

Nanase's "rebellious" wardrobe was assembled and stored in secret.  (Although I suspect Mrs Kitsune knew almost everything all along)
Keeping each individual item small was a practical necessity to ensure hideability.

I don't think we need the speedbird from MV5 yet. The fairy's tail is doing a good job in Panel 2 of keeping the secret of what's under that ridiculously short skirt.

I don't think she's swapping clothes, just copying them, I don't expect there to be an oversized bodysuit on her bed or in her closet. I mean if it was a clothing swap, she'd have to remember to swap back before leaving the doll, and if she intends on Ashley having that doll, she might want to keep the clothes on it.

If others can see her underpants or lack thereof, then it’s probably too revealing to wear in front of strangers.

I would suspect that Nanase had taken care of that while preparing the outfit, of course there's implications if she didn't. ;)

I was thinking she's swapping the clothes with other clothes of fairy size.

Also, I'm sure she don't intends to give THIS doll to Ashley. It makes no sense to give Ashley doll linked to someone else.

Who's stranger? :)

Besides us, of course.

(Hmmmm ... you got me thinking if Nanase, with all her sneaking spell, doesn't actually have some spell usable to hide her lack of underpants while wearing revealing outfit.)

The doll is either linked to Sarah or Justin, neither of them would probably be interested in a doll version of Nanase, well there's probably a better chance that Justin might than Sarah but I'm willing to bet he wouldn't mind it being a gift for Ashley.

The benefits of this, is being linked to Sarah or Justin, if Nanase ever needed to contact Ashley by fairy, it'd probably result in the creation of a new doll linked specifically to Ashley anyway, and chances are, if Nanase needed to contact Sarah or Justin by Fairy, a new one would be made linked to them as well since this fairy would be out of range of them. So basically after tonight, if Nanase doesn't want to use this particular doll again, then it's taken care of.

I like most of the elements of this outfit/look, but somehow everything put together doesn't work for me. However, that's not Dan's fault - I've seen similar outfits before, and it almost never works for me. I could go into a long analysis of what I like and don't like about the outfit, but I think it all comes down to a combination of the fact that it's trying too hard to be sexy without having much style going for it, and the fact that I associate the look with stock characters that that I've never liked in fiction ("queen bees" and "bimbos"* primarily).

...On the positive side, yay for starburst background in panel one!

* I use the term hesitantly, but I can't think of another term for the stock-character I'm thinking of.

For some reason, I was thinking Nanase and Susan were of similar height.

Don't know where my brain was.

Well, someone or something went through my entire collection of Ancient Egyptian porn inside that timeframe, so I have my suspicions.

With those shoes and socks, it reminds me of ridiculously skimpy "school girl uniforms", so maybe this is the version of the outfit they (the character and/or writers) would pretend doesn't violate school dress codes?

(I honestly can't remember where I've seen outfits like this used in fiction or how I wound up associating it with those character types. There's a good chance it's mostly from movie trailers / commercials / stuff glimpsed while changing channels / etc., some of it dating back to before I was old enough to understand the appeal of skimpy clothing.)

Does she even own any shoes with significant heels?

I don't know about high heels, but Nanase does have boots with enough of a platform to noticeably increase her height.

And I would be surprised if she wore the typical high heels ... EXACTLY because she's NOT "bimbo" etc - I mean  because it wouldn't match her character.

Nearly any Japanese manga or anime with Japanese schoolgirls and loli undertones, I'd say. :(
