Yeah, that's a Siberian fox with snow on it's nose, taken right after the first snow fall but before it changed it's coat to white.  I might make a wallpaper of Explorer soon.

I've never had a Dyson. Don't the turbines spin much faster than a normal vac? I would think to a cat it would be even more annoying, but since I'm not a cat, my opinion doesn't carry much weight.

Oh she runs away when it's turned on, but I'm not sure she knows what the thing is.  If I vacuumed a little more often she might not act so casual around it.
