Other than from about 7 to 12ish at night, she spends most of her time within a meter of me.  After midnight or so, she sleeps between my legs.  So only does the on my neck thing for about 15 to 30 minutes most days.  She has fallen asleep there, however, and if I don't move around a lot, she'll stay for up to 2 hours.

“The Human is moving slowly today. He doesn't feel bad or anything. Just the bed was extra comfy, and he would rather not get out of it. After I eat something, I'll get on the desk to help him read things.” - Explorer the Cat.

“It's Math Rocks Day! Yay! I get to help The Human with the math rocks. Does the party stay in the swamp to fight the purple men and their feathered dragons, or do they run away? Their blood is up, so I think they will fight the purple men, but who knows?” - Explorer the Cat.

“Yeah, I'm a little in the way, but on the other paw, your tea is still brewing, so you don't need that much of the desk just yet. It's not like you are, you know, working just yet. Plus it's almost time to eat. I'll get out of the way then. Be calm about this.” - Explorer the Cat.

“The Human is up early this morning. That thing he puts on his face now when he goes to bed—the one with all the tubes and the weird noises seems to help him sleep. I'm glad.” - Explorer the Cat.

“I got a CPAP for sleep apnea.” - The Human

“The Human hurt their knee, again. I'm hanging out with him until he starts moving around again. Which he may or may not do.” - Explorer the Cat.

“I think I'm gonna jump up on the desk and help The Human. He's moving pretty slowly this morning. He had a my-grain last night, but his magic pill made it go away. He's still pretty grumpy.” - Explorer the Cat.

“The Human's noisy thing that he puts on his face stopped working last night. He's really not happy about that. I'll hang out with him so he's not so grouchy. Of course it's almost mealtime, but I'll come back after I have a bite or two.” - Explorer the Cat.

"The Human got their noisy thing that fits over his face working again. He got a good nights sleep, so he's feeling better. I'll stay here, hanging out until it's time for breakfast. I might spend some time in the kitchen. I think there is a mouse there, and I need to get it!" - Explorer the Cat

Seems gruntled and disgruntled are backwards.

Grunting and gruntled aren't the same thing.  Grunting is making noises because you feel like crap.  Gruntled means things are going good.
