The Psychiatrist Is IN

I'm really not seeing Grace as a psychiatrist but do see her as a social worker.

What worries me most about Grace pursuing a career in mental health or social work is wondering if she could detach herself from her work

Almost everyone has, at some point, dealt with someone in medicine, psychology, academics, social work or some other professional field who, in the name of professional detachment, becomes a complete jerk to their clients, patients, or students.

Grace would more likely be in the opposite situation.  As she gets to know a patient, she would be unable to separate herself from her client's problems and would be likely to do things for that client that could not only break human law, they might break the laws of physics

One thing in Grace's favor -- breaking the laws of nature is not usually in violation of an employment contract.

Depends on what "law of nature" you are talking about.  And when in history you are talking about as well.  There was a time that being gay was thought as being a crime against nature.
