So, is Diane going to probe Rhoda about having magic or not.  She seems like she has doubts both ways.

At least, according to Diane.

So if Rhoda hasn't said anything to Diane about getting some kind of magic, then obviously Rhoda has not gained magic.

I believe Holmes himself used a similar bit of logical deduction in The Hound of the Baskervilles
