Luke is down and can not reasonably retreat

Catalina is playing the part of the monster, but does not wish to actually hurt Luke

Catalina is aware of Luke, but does not really know him or have any reason to trust him.  Especially since he was in the group chasing her and Rhoda

How does Luke escape?  How will Catalina plausibly let him go?

I don't think it needs to be "plausible," Luke will be worrying too much about where to get clean underwear to wonder about why he hasn't been clawed to death. Heck, all the girls need to do is scamper while he's down.

Also, Cat isn’t trying to capture/defeat them—she WANTS to frighten them into running away. She’s not going to try to prevent him from fleeing.
