It's two people that rarely agree on something and have formal magic training. They could be new characters, but Dan's commentary implies that they're characters we've seen before.

I think the scrub trash comment is Agent Wolf paraphrasing, but if it isn't, then that might help with narrowing down who it could be.

I strongly suspect they are new characters, but I assume that about all characters in EGS.  When ever there is new or mystery character, it's a new one, not a recycled old one.

My first guess was that they were agents Knight and Bishop, who had called for Wolf in the wake of their incident the previous night. They seem like they would be the quintessential bickering odd couple who always disagree but would gladly risk their lives for one another.

But given that the very issue in question was first accidentally discovered by the two of them, it couldn't be.

There are some things that are more awkward than listening to a older person attempting to sound hip

Some...

But not many

I don't think it has been used effectively for comedic purposes since Barbara Billingsley appeared as The Jive Lady in Airplane

Arthur would have been a young person in the 1950s or so, and so would seem most natural using 1950s/60s slang (i.e. anything that predates “groovy”).
