Wand-making wands that make more wand-making wands. And deception. That pretty much sums up today's installment.

Yeah, pretty much.  I still think that Tedd wouldn't be all that upset if he knew that DGB want'ed weapons.  Look at all the supernatural threats his circle of friends have had to deal with in the last 2 years.  At least he should be OK with making "taser" wands (or some other subdue the target spell)

Tedd has to know that he's not being told everything, he knows that his own father (of necessity) doesn't tell him everything.

Yeah, Tedd is young, not dumb.  A lot of people, mainly adults, tend to confuse those two.

Ok, to whom is Arthur speaking over his shoulder?

AD Liefeld?  Sybil?  Lavender?  Amanda?  One of the established agents?  Any of them would be so plausible as to make a delayed reveal almost pointless.

Perhaps an Immortal, or someone else who can easily step out of the shadows without warning?  Helena?  Demetrius?  Voltaire?  Adrian Raven?  Batman?

No, I am guessing this will be a either be a new character or a wild card.  Pandora or Noriko come to mind.

Mostly adults who, while no longer young, are still dumb.

Sybil seems to be the second person in most of his office scenes. While she seems modeled on being a secretary, she seems to be more, in a 'speaks for arthur sense. She seems to know how to get things done in their organization. It would be plausible to not show her at this point and to expect us to assume it's her. Of course, it could be someone else, but more evidence would be needed.

AD Liefeld does not seem to 'hang out' with Arthur nor Edward. They've had minimal interaction with him and have gone out of their way on those occasions.

Lavender is in Edward's circle. Amanda is in Dr. Gehrman's circle.

I don't really think who the other person is has much significance as a plot point. We'll see.

I wonder if the Q&A crew will become regular cast when the cast moves on to college? Ted should see them in the lab setting.

Exactly.

Either Herr Dr G or Edward would have motivation to keep tabs on Arthur.  And Arthur probably has people monitoring them.  Arthur may even imagine turning Tedd into an deep agent he can use to watch Edward at home or Dr G at the University . . .

How Byzantine can internal politics become?

That city hasn’t been named Byzantium in a long time. Perhaps we should say “Constantinopolitan” or “Istanbulian”?

I think the expression is tied to the Western Roman Empire, not to say that governments in general aren't Byzantine.

Imagine Amanda being assigned to teach Tedd how to keep a proper lab notebook.

120 WPM! When I push myself, I can just barely manage half of that, and that’s with years of practice.

Depending on what music I have playing in the back ground I average about 30-45 WPM.  When a DragonForce song comes on, I attempt to keep up, but my error rate goes through the roof.
