Putting our tree on a fire would not be a good idea, as it's a plastic tree with built in fiber-optics.

Yeah, that might not be one you want to burn.

On our twelfth day of delving,

our DM sent at us,

Twelve rats a-swarming,

Eleven critters crawling,

Ten kobolds sniping,

Nine goblins rushing,

Eight zombies shuffling,

Seven wargs a-snapping,

Six orcs a-bashing,

Five magic rings,      (water breathing, and we're in a desert)     ((they'll need them, I'm planning a flash flood))

Four traps a-springing,

Three deer for eating,

Two mimic chests,

And a dead warrior in a cube of jelly.

Happy Epiphany / Three Kings Day to any who celebrate. I don't, but I've always rather liked the Magi, so it's neat to know they have a holiday in some traditions.

Epiphany is associated with the Three Kings mostly in the Western Christian tradition

Many Orthodox congregations associate the day with Jesus's Baptism

Today in Tarpon Springs, Florida there will be a service at St Nicholas Cathedral followed by a procession down to the water's edge where the Greek Orthodox Bishop will throw a white crucifix into the bayou and over 60 boys will dive in attempting to find it

Tradition?  Religion?  Culture?  Or a Florida Man stunt?

Guess I'll celebrate by smoking a rubber cigar.

Although I am familiar with the Orthodox Church, this is the first that I have heard of the practice of having people compete to retrieve a crucifix that is cast into the water.

I think it is from Greek fishing traditions

It's tradition, that makes it OK

Popular among the under 12 set in the early 70s

We three kings of oil & tar

Try to smoke a rubber cigar

It was loaded & exploded

Also repeat, but count down the kings. Stop at end of one king, do not sing verse for zero kings.

No wonder the gators are smiling. How many come back out of 60, typically?

Yes, clearly, being a tradition makes it OK. Good call.

(Makes note to self to start some 'traditions')

No, after the third one you sing the first line of "Silent Night".

Yes, you are right, I believe I've heard it that way. Honestly, it's not on my Top Ten list. Nor Top 100. Nor Top 10K. If I heard it, I probably would not use an ice pick on my ear drums. No, I'd just smile and walk away.

You really do not want to sing 'Aleph Null Bottles of Beer On the Wall'. You will be at it for a while.
