I heard the most wonderful use of the English language the other day, thanks to our local TV weatherman:

"Texas Rain Sandwich"

This should be used more often.

I can confirm C III P.O. is indeed a pun. I am fluent in over six million forms of pun-ishment. He was just pulling our legs. Mine came off, and I had to replace it; couldn't match the color.

A pun doesn't even need actual words said nor printed, as long as you can fill them in yourself. Four beetles crossing a drawing of Abby Road, for example.

If it is almost entirely healthy, active & comfortable, a longer human lifespan is generally viewed as desireable.  But immortality is possibly the most foolish of desires.

So what is the happy medium?  Is an age on the FM dial the goal?

A mitigating factor to the notion of immortality is that you presumably wouldn't be the same person over the eons as you progressed in understanding. At some point, your brain should have difficulty tracking memories, so it seems unfeasible in any case.

There are different degrees of immortality. Absolute eternal existence would likely drive a human insane, especially if that means literally outliving the heat death of the universe.

On the other hand, the “no natural decline with aging” kind of immortality could be good—you stay healthy indefinitely, even though mundane injury could still kill you.

I vaguely remember a story, I think it was in a comic book, where Merlin (of Arthurian legend) had been granted eternal life... but not eternal youth. Several centuries old, basically all his weight-bearing joints were shot.

Then there's this other story, where a wannabe-immortal wannabe-world-dictator summoned one of the Fates for a consultation...

In the Culinary Venn Diagrams, there is a great deal of overlap between things that are acceptable as Omelette Fillings and Pizza Toppings.

But the most basic Omelette ingredient, the Egg, is not great as a Pizza Topping.

In Europe egg is a pizza topping.  One sunny side up in the center of the pie.  I've had it, it's not bad.

Why have I not seen / smelled / tasted this?

Is it only due to the potential legal consequences of serving under cooked eggs?

Nor is pizza generally used as an omelette filling.

The way I've see it was to crack the egg into the middle of the pizza about 10 minutes into the 15 minutes pizza cook time.
