What Larry doesn't say is "... master of none" - why it seems like an odd choice.

So he's Larry, Bard.

I suppose the wizard will be Magic, Son of John.

Just hope that Larry doesn't fall into the "horny bard" cliche.

This is a thing?

Only if he is also a master of Ball-in-the-basket.

Oh, yeah, it's based on the idea that a bard can seduce any thing that moves due to it's high charisma and skill at entertaining.   There are lots of memes about.

Elvish Presley?  thankyouverymuch.

Or are we looking at Alan O'Dale (human or rooster), Robin's Minstrels, or Prof Harold Hill?

That's not far off. Elvis had the bard qualities and an agenda - his treatment of black musicians, especially in the repressive South, suggest chaotic good. "No, we don't have to have my black singers in your venue. We can go sing somewhere else."

Alan-a-dale is an archtypical bard, with motivational capabilities. The rooster incarnation was voiced by Roger Miller, who is, after all the 'King of the Road', dang him and his observations of the oscillatory state of the seat of the British community.

The definitive version of Professor Harold Hill was played by Robert Preston. Anyone who has ever performed to Chicken Fat need not doubt the man's bard-like motivational capabilities. Let's not forget his warrior test, defending the frontier against Xur and the Ko-Dan Armada (which replaced the earlier Sword in the Stone).
