While she is aware of the magical world, I don't think it has been fully absorbed into her though processes.

"Werewolf Attack" is a more interesting cause of death than anything that appeared on any of my relatives Death Certificates.

It might even be more cool than "A Moose Once Bit My Sister".

I'm not sure what they list as cause of death in the case of animal attack.  "Natural causes" I suspect.

Did she become a weremoose? If not, how was it a cause of death?

I think 'natural causes' is used for death due to unspecific, undiagnosed age related decline. Death by animal attack would probably be listed in as much detail as possible. It might have legal and liability implications, so, like a police report, you'd want details.
