As I feared, Rich is moving towards being just another background character, not an antagonist for the main cast. Right now, it seems Bad Tom (who might have changed due to Susan's actions), Luke's group and Tony are the only "mundane" antagonists for the group.  Granted Rich seems to be taking his time on telling Ellen that she's a good GM, but he has had a "On the Road to Damascus" event.
