Ah, yeah, Free fall when there were actual evil antagonists.  Don't get me wrong, I like it, read it every time it updates, but their current problems have been with economics and labor relationships.  Which may actually be harder to deal with than evil, when you get down to it.

Watching basketball at the Olympics and I realize I miss the trapezoid key.

It was visual shorthand reminding me this wasn't an NCAA or NBA game.

I know it's silly.

 . . . . .

For a real challenge, forget the trapezoid and play on a pyramid.  Can you slam dunk into a crocodile's jaw?

If you are dunking with your feet you are playing a different game than everybody else is..

You'd be in Seine if you did that in Paris!

When I posted this text to Facebook, Facebook had a conniption fit and I got Facebook jail until the 7th.

Talk about missing the point. Then again, not surprised that Faceplant f*@%ed up with less than excellent service.

At least they did you a favor.

I went to the NC Ren Faire yesterday (it's the big one for NC), and one of the things they had was a tree man; an actor in a tree suit with a puppet opossum and a puppet raccoon for dialog. He was wearing a sign that said "Please tip the tree man". Seems like that would hurt, falling over like that.

The character of the Ren Faires I've been to has changed over time. They used to be focused on period reenactment, now there is a big element of fantasy. Elf ears were all over the place.

Wren Faires.

I see at least one furry everytime I go to a ren fair.  Granted not a wren.  Haven't seen a "bird" furry in a long time.  Unless you count the "chicken" that leads the chicken dances at Oklahoma "Oktoberfest".

I have seen people wandering around in dragon costumes, not at this Faire, but at a couple of the smaller ones. Mitigating that, they have been good looking women in somewhat skimpy costumes.

During a nature hike ate one of the state parks nearby, we happened across a furry gathering. That was almost painful to see. I suppose I should not kink shame. I'll just avoid it.

Wrens aren't actually furry, they are feathery; this came up in the context of stumbling past the gathering. Birds and lizards are represented, so I guess 'furry' means feathery and scaly too. Possibly they are just that dumb, hard to tell these days.
