Are the flickering lights Jay's fault?

I was hoping for a cliche murder mystery.

Lights go out.  Dead body on the table.  Fingers point.  Accusations fly.  Almost everyone agrees on one suspect.  The lights go out again and that suspect is dead next to the first body.

The last panel suggests so. She's very dark, and her eyes are huge and wide.

Hope, who might also have reason and certainly has power, appears merely confused in the previous panel.

My first thought was that it was Hope, who a few strips ago needed to talk to Sarah ASAP. I thought she was creating a reason to pause game play, but she looked a shocked as anyone.
