      Welcome!   03/05/2016

Welcome, everyone, to the new 910CMX Community Forums. I'm still working on getting them running, so things may change.  If you're a 910 Comic creator and need your forum recreated, let me know and I'll get on it right away.  I'll do my best to make this new place as fun as the last one!

I achieved what I set out to do today (actually planned for yesterday, but that wasn't happening.) The drugs I took before dawn are starting to wear off. I think I'm gonna take a cold and flu Alka-Seltzer and crash, at least for a few hours. I may or may not do some work on the indirect fire module for Project X, which is the major ground combat thing that needs some work done on it. The big problem is I need to have rules that cover the range of WWI pre-plotted rolling barrages up to precision-guided munition having their information sent back via spotting drones. This isn't something I really want to try while drugged out on cold meds.

Aldrich Ames died.  And yes, this is good news; hence, not in the sad news thread,

I'd call it 'news' - not particularly good - it in a sense lets him off the hook, not like he was going anywhere.

"So, in retrospect, was it worth selling out your country, Mr. Ames?"

I saw a YouTube video about snow coming this week, including some parts of the southeast. Either Weather Underground doesn't know about it, or it's gonna miss me at least for the next 10 days. Cold, but dry is what WU is forecasting. Of course their 10-day forecasts are often on the good drugs, but I have hopes I'll avoid snow. And yes, I know, by some of y'all's standards, that's not that cold. I have cold senesitivity due to the drugs I take. Have heat sensitivity as well. Basicly, if it's not around 70 (freedom units) [21 rest of the world], I'm unhappy.

It's up to 67 in the living room, which is what I have the temperature set to.  Yay! My  feet and knees are still cold, but in general, the heaters are working.

No problem. Enjoy with your favorite beverage.

I'm not quite sure how to enjoy a camera with Dr Pepper or tea, but I'll try!

Meeting with Sandra over (there was some fun and games with her being behind schedule).  I see her again in a month.

This was a good morning.  My ride to the medical supply place was a little early.  My appointment with the lady at the supply place was early and short.  My sleep reports were all good, so Medicare will not be cranky with me.  I found out I'm supposed to change the pad on my CPAP mask every month, which explains why it was getting weird.  My ride home was VERY early, early enough that we could stop at Braum's and get milk.  Braum's had milk on sale. Now if the weather would just warm up, that would make it perfect, but that's not forecast for another week.

This was a good morning.

And this afternoon sneaked up on me and hit me upside the head. Spending  time under the weighted blanket.

Meeting with Sandra over.  No changes to drugs.  I see her again in a month.  They are going to snail mail me the form so they can get a current copy of my lab results. It seems that those must be updated yearly, and I haven't done that yet.

After the issues I had with walking to the post office and back, I've started to walk again right before lunch.  For the first time, my calves don't feel bad after an “around the block” trip.  Tomorrow I'm gonna extend it to around 2 and a half blocks.  While it's not really likely that I'm gonna make it to Pennsic this year, I want to be able to walk around the war and not be in pain all the time. Plus, I would like to be able to walk to the sushi place once it opens up in June.

Setting an alarm to do the walk has helped me do it. Weather Underground is forecasting good weather for at least the next 10 days.  Granted their 10-day forecasts are often on the good drugs, but here's hoping that I can keep making the walks.

I went for my daily walk.  Despite planing on making it all the way to the Watco Trail tomorrow, I'm not sure if I can do that. My calves are killing me.  At least I'm not having trouble breathing.  Might time it so that I'm the peak for my pain meds.

I took the slightly longer walk today.  My legs don't feel any worse than they did yesterday. I think I'll keep to that route for at least a week, then start using the trail to expand the walk.

I went for my daily walk. The only time I had to stop was to wait for traffic. That's a first.  And my legs don't feel anywhere as bad as they did even yesterday.  The still hurt, but not at the “Make it stop!” level.  I'm on track to add 2 more blocks on the trail next Tuesday.

My front door blew open, and I didn't notice for a while. I had a few minutes of stark terror when I could not find Explorer, despite knowing she doesn't go outside. She was in the bedroom, more or less as far from the open door that she could get. I'm sure she's confused as to why I was so cuddly in the middle of the afternoon. All well that ends well.

I went for may daily walk and did the extra two blocks.  My legs don't feel any worse than they did yesterday, so that's a good thing.  I barely missed the rain.  There was thunder to the south of me after I got half way.

If you can't miss the lightning, it's good to at least have the lightning miss you.

I had one time when the lightning didn't miss me.  I'm always in favor of it missing me.
