      Welcome!   03/05/2016

Welcome, everyone, to the new 910CMX Community Forums. I'm still working on getting them running, so things may change.  If you're a 910 Comic creator and need your forum recreated, let me know and I'll get on it right away.  I'll do my best to make this new place as fun as the last one!

Feeling optimistic that I can get some writing on Project X, or maybe even my Space Fantasy game, done today.  I need to name that something.  The current name “Edge of Imperial Space” really doesn't fit it anymore.

Took antihistamines with my normal morning drugs and no current headache.  Going to finish breakfast and my cat photo stuff, then may dive in.

I slept “funny” last night, so my right hip hurts, however that normally goes away in a few hours. Currently, about an hour into taking meds, my knees are at a tolerable level (i.e., almost normal “not raining” background level pain). Once I get out of bed, I should be able to work on a project. It looks like it will be a good day. Of course, saying that might jinx it.

My Perl script only tossed one error on the 1st run.  Forgot to “my” a variable.  Now all I have to do is enter 1,400+ AFV data entries.  Happy, Happy, Joy, Joy,

On the other hand, I had some bone head errors in my SQL, however easily fixed, mainly typos and forgetting that you can create a table with dashes in it, but you can't read or write to it afterward. D'oh! And started on data entry. Thinking strongly about modifying the script to take real-world data and automatically converting it to game stats.

First, my grandmother already knows how to suck eggs.

More importantly, the next video suggested by the Al Gore Rhythm was the Meco Disco Star Wars.

I got Simon Whistler's post in Decoding the Unknown about if the 122-year-old woman was a hoax or not.  I get him a lot.

Simon Whistler does his research.

Well, his writers do his research.  DtU is one where someone writes it, and he blind reads it.

I played my first notes of live ensemble music in over 35 years last night. I joined the Rockwall Community Band and played in the percussion section. The last time I did something like that was with the Austin Civic Wind Ensemble in the late 80s. Boy, was I rusty. I made it about halfway through the 90-minute rehearsal before I had to sit town and rest. Next time, I bring liquids for drinking. Phew.

Isn't that where the cannons are placed in “The 1812 overture”?  Or are you playing boring music without cannons?  :-)

My sister passed her defense of her dissertation.  She is now officially “Doctor Smart”.  I'm still going to call her Reb.

Isn't a Buggs Bunny greeting required?

Damn it, why didn't I think of that?  I'll start with that, next time I talk to her voice.

The fronts that have been messing me up for the last week are finally passing around noon and there will be clear weather for at least the next 9 days.  The idea that my body aches are coming to an end makes me so happy. I might get some work done on Project X or “Edge of Imperial Space”.

I've looked at countrywide radar and the only front it shows in the Pacific North West, and that is both too far north and on the wrong side of several mountain ranges to be a threat. Of course, this being the mid west, weather could just show up, but right now, it looks good.

The front is gone, my knees feel better, and I didn't get hit with a tornado.  Plus a good D&D game.  Good Sunday afternoon.

I got a “probably not cancer, see me again in 6 months” report about my prostate biopsy, so I'm way less stressed now.

Not in pain.  More or less awake.  Not freaking out.  Not planing on leaving the house, so scary middle-aged women will not try to kill me. Wearing boots, so my feet shouldn't roll.   Should get some work done on some project.  I've got 4 stacked up, and I really haven't put that much work in to any of them in the past 2 weeks.  Hopefully, will get something done today.

On the downside, I put two teaspoons of sugar in my tea, so it's too sweet. If that's the worst thing that happens, well, it will be a good day.
