You give him too much credit; he had many people telling him he needed to, from his own side. Sure, he was better than Dumpster, but that like a hurdle that is merely tape on the ground.

The Dumpster is facing rebellion in his ranks. Many of the MAGAts are not happy about his walking back his promise to release the Epstein information; several Republicans are wising up as well, and he sycophant media is starting to push back. I'm hoping this is the lie that take him down.

I just heard a quote from the Canadian prime minister that Canada would not take a back seat to Donald Trump. I concur, and not just because Canada is to big . . .

(And once again, I find it difficult to word a proper insult. I can't call him a lard-ass, it's unfair to actual swine, and lard is fairly healthy purified animal fat with a fair number of double bonds, vs Trump ingests and accumulates ultra-processed hydrogenated fats.)

Given the Trumpster Fire's intense narcissism, thin petty skin, lack of ability to focus, comprehend, and reason, seemingly poor mental and physical health, seeming dementia, and advanced age, I do not see him weathering this storm. I expect we may be burying president felon soon, and swearing in president Vance, which may be a shallow improvement. 

The one thing the Orange Idiot has going for himself that may help him survive is a lack of conscience, I doubt the wrong he's done bothers him.

If the President becomes unable to Preside, the Right Wing may tear itself apart with dozens of different talking heads.  Each one claiming to know what Trump wanted.  Could or would any of them cooperate effectively?

Cult experts say that cults tend to come apart when their narcissistic god figure dies or otherwise falls. Trump has at no point groomed a successor. It is possible some of his hangers-on see themselves as his successor but none of them share even an iota of his creepy charisma. Trump himself has made sure that every time someone else started to get attention from his cult they were swiftly thrown under the bus.

I'm not entirely comfortable with the notion that the Dumpster qualifies as 'people', but swarms of MAGAts attest to the reality. 

He does seem to be missing many of the fundamental components. Empathy, basic human decency, a non-zero sense of shame, a conscience.

Still, your concerns are noted, that level of ill will is a slippery slope.

1) I did not wish Trump dead. I predicted that his cult would come apart without him to lead it.
2) No-one else here wished him dead either. Wishing him incapable of providing more of his destructive and egomaniacal 'leadership' does not necessitate his death.
