Bishop said “us all,” about “immodest curves.” Does this mean she was at the ball as well?

Probably, if just to oversee her daughters efforts. But she's already shown she has no loyalty toward Edward.

Interesting that in her second panel she contradicts what she says in the first panel. "We will be ultimately victorious because we don't have great curves" but "I wish we had great curves (it is such an advantage)". Failure of reason extends to all aspects of her life? I feel like this is inaccurate, Bishop is essentially rational, just doesn't have a great set of premises to work from - in both NP and the main story.

Dan's commentary bleeds this NP arc and the main story together as well; what is canon for this arc about Bishop's view of curvy women is mentioned as being canon for the main story. But based on her contradiction, it is unclear if she dislikes curvy, or would prefer to be curvy. 

An actual snake that was curvy would not work as a snake, fantasy snake ladies not withstanding; besides reptiles with boobs is just wrong anyway. (Sort of. There is no reasons reptiles could not evolve mammary glands other than no present need. Indeed, at some point along the evolutionary path toward mammals, something that laid eggs developed lactation.)

Why do people talk when they do not need to say anything, or would be better off saying nothing? 

This question applies to significantly more human interactions than just Bishop's Breakfast.

Well, you apparently agree with Dan, FWIW. Other than that, 'dislikes curvy' and 'wants to be curvy' would mean she wants to punish herself, which is possible, or maybe she's just flat out crazy, which is not much of a stretch either. But I don't see any more or less normal way this works.

I think that she sees a sexy body as an “and” thing rather than an “or” thing—that is to say, she has contempt for those who have only their looks and no abilities.

So some people are physically and mentally attractive.  Some people are physically or mentally attractive.  And some of us are neither physically nor mentally attractive.

Yeah, that tracks with her earlier talks with hare daughters in the NP.
