I did not recognize Rich when he appeared earlier in this arc.

Adrian appears to be over thinking this. He's not wrong, but still. Actually, since Elliot is reluctant to find a match, Adrian might want to establish contact with the fairy he suspects is involved, and see if the plan is sound, then maybe support it.

If the name "Rich Richervanyu" is descriptive, then unlike our Rich, this guy probably does not suffer from a lack of female attention.

I've heard it for a while.  That being said, I picked it up while I was stationed in Germany, and it may have stayed living in my mind because I use it from time to time. I know my independently wealthy platoon leader (his military pay was mainly for making car payments) said it a lot.  It's weird having a platoon leader who is genuinely a multimillionaire.  Makes platoon parties something else.  I wonder how long Lt. Palane stayed in. He was a West Pointer, so he could have gone far.

He came from a family where younger sons “did the militray.” As I understand it, going back to the Civil War, maybe before. The oldest son was expected to do the business thing. Old New England family.

He was pissed that Forrest save him, carried him out when he was hit (in Vietnam). Later, Forrest helps with his rehabilitation in a very characteristically oblivious, synergistic, practical way, buy employing him as a partner in his shrimping enterprise. It really is an awesome movie.

I'd watch it, but my attention span is about 15 minutes now, so watching movies, or for that matter most TV shows, is difficult to impossible.

Useless Trivia 

When Tom Hanks was filming the Mr Rogers movie, Mr Rogers' widow told Tom that Gump was one of Fred's favorite movies.  Apparently he noticed something new every time he watched it.
