And we learn that Po is indeed a vindictive sh!thead, perhaps a religious zealot. Useless gesture, though. I imagine the Uryuoms would buy Tedd a new setup in no time flat.
Also, he's left no doubt that a hostile force has entered Chez Verres. So much for stealth, so much for any chance of getting support from the Uryuoms  on this side.

My take on this is that Hope is allowed to empower Jeremy.

That would teach the Po-hole to stay in her own place. Maybe permanently.

How does she know what the computer is for?

Po or Hope? Hope was told by Lavender. Po may know from seeing one before.

Po. Po's experience with tech should be very different, recognizing objects is anomalous. Computers are generic, you wouldn't know what one specifically does just by looking at it, unless it was indicated by attachments. You might guess what an industrial controller does, for instance.

There is the thing next to the computer where you actually program/test the gun.  She may recognize that.

And we know exactly what Jeremiah was.

Assuming you don't mean a bullfrog with mighty fine wine,  he was a prophit of doom.

Not mutually exclusive.

There is a difference between a prophet of doom and being the active thing in a plague.  Now a prophet might say there will be bullfrogs; it's rare for a bullfrog to say there will be prophets.

You are expecting that the life experience and training of a revolutionary and religious fanatic (if Po is, in fact a religious fanatic) will be the same as your everyday seyunolo on the street?

Yes,  if the different sides do not regularly communicate, you would expect cultural drift.

I suppose I'm picturing an underground movement, not separated from society, but existing amongst it, Like, I don't know, the Masons perhaps. Complete with secret knowledge like the CMD. (Thank you, Lavender, I was getting tired of "t-gun.").

I was going to say something about the danger of multiplying uncertainties, but it's our main sport, isn't it?

One thing that has always confused me about the original TFG/CMD that was given to Tedd is that part of the reason was religious.  It violated religious laws on programming languages.  You have to be fairly far up the tech tree to get object-oriented programming; nothing on the Griffin side has shown that level of tech.

I so very much want to see enough of the Griffin side to have a notion of their level of tech.

While that would be nice, based on Dwight's complete freakout over the smartphone being “technology,” it implies that their tech level isn't very high.  They use magic instead.

He freaked out over Virginia having it in her possession, but yeah.

In the Maine EGS universe, Tech is available to everyone and the only barrier is money.   Money can acquired through many means.  But it is, hypothetically, possible for a person with no money to gain it legally and ethically.

Magic is.not available to everyone on the other side and the barrier may be more significant.

And it is because of this that I think that tech is banned by the Magocracy on the other side—in order to keep the magicless from having an alternate route to power.

On this side, it's possible for anyone (with help) to gain magic legally and ethically. Although, from what we've seen, more often it is granted unethically. That is, the unethical behavior is on the part of the being granting magic, not the being gaining it.

(What's unethical about it? Usually, being two words short of "informed consent." Sometimes other things, such as sending a couple of kids to kill aberrations.)
