Could happen. Phone booths are rare. I don't think I've seen more than a couple of phone booths in the 2000s, and they were in bad shape and appeared to be out of order, just junk no one bothered to scrap. 

The place I work had desk phones before COVID, but they were IP phones; I don't know anyone who has traditional phone system phones.

I also haven't seen a real phone book in ages. I tossed all of mine some moves ago.

I think Underdog died in shame seeing Krypto when the last Superman movie came out.

Don't worry, we still have Philbert DeSanex.

I haven't seen a phone booth since the 90s, apart from the one the owner of my job's company had in his den. I saw pay phones, but they were in those not booth things.  I even recall Clark Kent (in the Reeve's Superman movie) giving one of those enclosures a dirty look as he ran past them.
