Hmm. It is not clear why Elliot knew to look for an extra Adrian. He was not privy to that discussion.

Maybe the “real” Adrian doesn't normally run. He has minons for that.

Notice how Elliot is emphasizing the word “mother”. It seems that he is questioning why a “godmother” is presenting as being so youthful.

Yes.  And Hope thinks he's questioning the “fairy” part.  She might not have that firm of a grasp on human speaking patterns.

Perhaps our Prince wasn't so lucky. 

Maybe he accused half the people at the party of being a fairy before finding the right one. And those interactions were cut for time. 

And it may not be the first time royals, nobles, aristocrats, and the upper crust adjacent had been accused of being fairies.
